what if i remove my directorship

Dear members i recently received my ILR through Tier 1 Entrepreneur 5 years. now am planning to buy a house through mortgage but my company is not making profit i take wage as a admin and my wife is working as well so we can get a mortgage by combining our income.
Problem is... i have been told that as am registered as director and my company is not making profit so its not possible to get a mortgage as long as am a director. i have been advised to remove myself as a director for few months and keep myself as a employee and take wage as normal once mortgage is approved then add yourself again as a director.

would it cause any harm????

Any arm to what? But who’s going to be the company Director while you are an employee.

You have ILR now. Your business decisions and circumstances have no effect on your settled status. You can do as you wish
