Indian Passport Holder with IRL waiting 20 months - no decision.

Hello All,

Some advise would be greatly appreciated.

I came to the UK in 2009 on Spouse Visa.
I have remained married, raised 2 children and have been in employment since then.
Not claimed any benefits at all, no criminal/civil cases.

Application made for Nationality: May 2023 (completed biometrics in the same month)

No updates were provided organically, only when pressed by my Solicitor.

Update 1: (Oct 2023)
"This is because your application raises exceptionally complex issues, and we require further time to consider your case thoroughly and reach a decision."

Update 2: (July 2024)
"There appears to have been a technical issue with your client’s application. I have now contacted our technical department to resolve this issue.
We are unable to provide a specific timescale for this technical issued to be resolved, but we have escalated the issue. We will ensure that as soon as the issue is resolved the case will be expedited for consideration by a caseworker.
If we require anything further from you, then we will be in contact by email"

I have been advised that it's not normal for an application to take this amount of time.
I have also been advised that my application and circumstances are very ordinary and on paper they appear to be straight forward. This is why I am very concerned with the delay.

What actions should I be considering at this stage?
