Indian Passport Renewal and Bio-metric Card

Hi,

Yesterday (7th July) I have applied passport renewal for my son. They asked my his Bio-metric card(ILR) and they haven't returned it back. Can anyone please tell me whether we can get Bio-metric card safely to my address?

have you got the new passport? Do you know how much time it will take?
