Indian Tourist Visa Timeline for In-Person at London

Hi,

I am waiting for my daughter's British passport to arrive. After this, I will apply for Indian Tourist visa for her, in person at London centre. I intend to travel in June.

Does anyone who has applied recently know the following?
1. Lead times in getting an appointment - Appointments can only be booked after filling the online application. I cannot do that yet as I don't have her British passport. I am concerned about the number of days I have to wait to get an appointment slot.
2. Approximate processing times for in person appointment. I have looked through HCI website and I cannot find any information besides minimum 10 working days for postal application excluding time in transit.

Any help from someone who has recently applied for Tourist Visa or knows someone who has will be greatly appreciated.

Please note that I am aware of the three month grace period but it is not applicable in this case as my intended travel is outside the grace period.

You don't need to book an appointment

Once you have filled in the form online, print it off, get the 2"x2" photos

Go to VFS Global in Hayes

In my experience, people with appointments are seen no sooner than people that just turn up on the day

You should get the passport back within 5 working days
