Hello!
I recently got married and my husband is in the UK on a work permit. I plan to make an HSMP application and I had the following questions in this regard:
1. As my husband and I have not been living together for 2 years - I assume that I cannot claim points for a skilled partner. Please confirm.
2. What proof do I have to show that I have made efforts to look for a job in the UK once I get there? What if I am not able to procure interview letters, etc?
3. I have been working for 4.5 years now. I must have been in a specialist role since the last 1 year. How do I prove that? Also, in case I prove it - but they do not agree with me, would they outright give me 'Zero' points in that category - or would they still grant me 35 points for 4 years of graduate working?
4. I am an Indian Chartered Accountant and a US Certified Public Accountant. As such there is no criteria for recognition of the same in the Educational section. Do you think I should mention that nevertheless and request for additional points, or I should claim points for my bachelors degree, or should I get my qualification verified by NARIC?
5. Do you have a sample letter for employer reference? Is it required to be detailed or is it a short brief letter?
6. I have written 3 articles which were published by various publishers. Can they be considered as 'significant achievement'?
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance. I look forward to a speedy response.
