Infants (< 2 years) at Premium Appointments?

Seniors,

Can you advise if infants (<2 years) who are dependents of a main applicant are required to be physically present at the time of making a Premium application for Tier 1(General), when th main applcant applies for himself and his dependents together?

Will the infants also have to go through the biometric procedure?
