i know a person who is married to a british citizen and she is of singaporean nationality they have been married since early 2006 and her husband the british national is currently working in singapore now there has been some marital problems and he has also and does treat her very badly and he is obviosuly going against her fundamental right of being treated nicely she has also a child from him and she wanted to apply for right of abode for the child which he is obviouly entitled for

now the problem seems to arise when we know for the application to be processed it would require the father who is british national to give his relevent details like his birth cert which he clearly declines to do ?

hello its the badmaash who is been away for sometime

so how could we go arroud this ?

and if the child is given right of abode then is their anyway that the mother could come to the uk in event of their being a divorce ?

as we know the child could also get a briths passport but their is the fear that he could leave singapore with the child and of course there is worry so i have advised on that ground to her to make sure the child is given primarily a singapore passport with a right of abode stamp

its a very sad case she is very innocent women and i only intend to help her i hope you guys can give me some well needed direction in this matter

I sincerely hope you are not talking about anything in your own situation. I woulf also respectfully suggest that you don't get too involved in these people's problem, she needs professional, impartial advice.

On the face of it, this is something that should be sorted out by the courts in Singapore. The lady should urgently get legal advice over there about how she can make sure that the child is not removed from Sing without her/the Court's consent.

As for the mother coming to the UK, I can't see how having once been married to a UK citizen, or having a child with Right of Abode, would help her in any way, although others may have a better insight.

Anyway, what is the rush to establish RoB now?
The Refused are coming day-by-day nearer to freedom.

no its nothing to do with me its in regards to a wifes friend (thank you jim for your concerns) i had a meeting with her today you see and then looked at her issue and gave advise as she is vulnerable and needed help and i strongly believe that i must fight the oppresors

i have advised her to go and get a passport right away from the sinagapore immigration and hopefully that should be no problem

and also from what is clear the child can get rob , as i got that for my child and my wife is singaporean

in regards of rob and her coming to the uk she feels it would be better for her and her child in regards to their being more opportunity in education and work so forth and also gaining employment for her to save for the future for her return to singapore

i hope somebody can adivse
