Initial HSMP then Tier1 extension, query about 2nd extension

Post by krk969 » Fri Jul 23, 2010 3:06 pm

Hello,

This is my scenario

1. Applied for HSMP Oct 2007.
2. applied for a Tier1 ( because HSMP was scrapped ) extension on Sep 2009.
3. I need a second Tier1 extension in 2011 ( ( since I came into the UK a bit late )

My question is for my second extension in Tier1, Im not able to qualify with a bachelors degree since it has no points.
I could qualify with a bachelors degree during my first extension since I was moving from HSMP to Tier1.

But currently Im on Tier1 and Im going in for an extension so the application form says I cant get points for a bachelors degree since I got my first successful Tier1 application between 31Mar2009 and 06Apr2010.

I just need a month of extension for my ILR, and now I feel so helpless when I had a look at the new application form.

On section3 Page30 of the application form, for my first extension(from HSMP->Tier1) I had to goto section 3B , now since Im currently Tier1 and seeking extension I have to goto section section 3C as per the form and
which states under qualifications
* an applicant can only claim points for a Bachelor’s degree level qualification if they have, or have last been granted, leave to enter or remain as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant, Writer, Composer or Artist or a Self-Employed Lawyer Person; and that leave was granted before 31 March 2009.

Appreciate if anybody could throw some light on this, Ive searched the forums but didnt think I found a query of the same nature.
Apologies if its a duplicate of some already posted thread.
