Initial T1G Dependent - 12-months mark and funds confusion

Post by t1s2010 » Mon Feb 20, 2012 11:12 am

My wife is applying for T1G Dependent visa and we have few doubts.

My visa was stamped more than 12 months back, however I entered UK some 7months back.

For Dependent maintenance fund requirement, have I completed 12months or not?

Also, what is the amount of maintenance fund needed?
£2400(£800 self + £1600 spouse) OR £4400(£2800 self + £1600 spouse)
I am clear that after 12-month mark, it would have been £1333 (£800 self + £533 Spouse).

First of all your post is confusing, what are these months? How can your visa be valid for only 3 months? Don't write stories, be precise to get best possible answer.

1) 12 Months have to be counted from the date of entry. That's purely logical.

2) £800 (self) + £1600 (dependant).

** I would suggest show as much maintenance fund as you can. I have seen some exceptional visa approvals because of maintenance funds.

Whilst your post is "Still" not explanatory, I attempt to answer your summary questions -
1 - 12 month is from your first entry to the UK and not Visa stamping/visa valid from date
2 - Assuming above, you will need £800 (for yourself) and £1600 for your spouse as a maintenance funds
