Inquiring about irish association

Post by M97gesj » Mon Nov 26, 2018 12:35 pm

Hello
I have an inquiry about irish association
I am on stamp 3 ‘ my family applied for irish visa on 2015 based on my brother who is an irish citizen,my parents got stamp 4, and I got stamp 3 my parents are going to apply for the citizenship.
My question is can I apply for citizenship as well ,like my parents based on irish association related to my brother or I have to wait on stamp 3 for 5 years

Why are your parents applying for citizenship now?

If they received their Stamp 4 in 2015, they are not eligible to apply until 2020 - 5 years of residence in the island of Ireland - and same rule applies to you.

The only non EU nationals eligible to apply for naturalisation after 3 years of residence in island of Ireland are spouses/civil partners of Irish citizens.
