Institute at which studied OR University that issued degree?

Post by muhandis.ak » Wed Jun 09, 2010 7:28 am

Hi,

I did my masters in London. The institute that I studied at was 'School of Technology & Management' and the university that awarded the degree was 'University of East London'. The degree certificate is on the UEL letterhead with no mention of STM. However, the letter from institution (showing period of study, etc) for claiming 5 points for UK experience is issued by STM.

So, would request anybody who has maybe gone through the same experience to answer two queries that I have -

1. In the self-assessment calculator, should I select my institute OR the university (both are listed)?

2. Would there be a problem that the academic reference letter is from the Institution ie STM and not the university itself?

Thanks,

Kala

1..University is better as your original degreewill not specify the institute
2 No, it should notbe a problem as academic transcripts/refreces are generally from the institutes...good luck!!
