Interview calls only by Phone ?

Based on my applications, I received response from two responses.
Both have called me by phone.. One employer was trying to contact me 5 times over phone.

I was surprised they are not using Email to contact and inform the interview dates. Is there any reason why employers prefer phone rathar than Email mode for communication?

I am suprised too that a emplyer contact u 5 times only on phone. In my case all potentail first take time thorugh e-mail. Only then they interview me.

Also it is the usually job agency people who usually borthter u to give call without fixing time on phone for short duration talk.
