Saad, wish you and everyone in the forum to hear the good news soon.

My guess is that for our timelines we can expect the next ceremony in end of March. Is it right to assume that there's two months gap between each ceremony?

I got approval last year, sent card + 950 (me and my wife's) and also I emailed to check they had received it, which they replied that they did but I still don't have the invitation letter.

Rang the department this morning , am told the file is definitely with the minister after i asked her the same question twice and she made sure if i have the same address.
she said it might take couple of months to hear back from the minister but then i guess this may be based on her assumption as she wasnt sure at the end.

for those who are waiting for 6 months or more, I suggest to contact the department. I've done that recently & found out the my application was approved a month ago & letter was lost in post.

@Dar
This is what I was saying before that it is a possibility that the approval letters might get lost in the post. The problem is that the person sitting to answer your calls doesn`t know much about the application until it is updated in the system (if they have a computerized system showing the exact and up to date application status). Otherwise what if application was approved and the system shows "in advance stage with the minister" but the person responsible for updating the system wasn`t able to update the application status because of leave...

@mumairsharif
First of all congratulations on getting the news about approval. My question to you would be did you call in between to the inis department in Dec and got a reply "with the minister" in December? Also could you please share your time line with us.. it will surely help. Since I applied in end of July and got my first ack letter in early week of August.

I've contacted them via email & they have replied back saying that I've haven't responded to the correspondence (approval letter) that was sent a months ago & they are sending a copy of it.

I'm just pleased that i got the approval.

I presume its been almost a year for your application (april 2014?) .. the word advanced can mean manything, such as waiting for reports, dropped to minister, some issue with your application (law or money), returned from minister... lots of things

unless you moan to them that your application took more than 6 months, its highly unlikely to get an answer soon... have you and offenses? no.. have you accessed social welfare? if so, then maybe they delay it to make sure you are back to work and paying them back!

Yes Banana , its amlost 1 year as i applied in April 2014 , you have very good memory , i never ever commit a crime in state including trafic crime , never been illegal even a single day , worked last 8 years , only took few months partial job seeker allowance as my working hours were redused , and following is the reply i got from tem ,
"" Hi,
Your application is at an advanced stage of processing. You will be
notified of the Minister's decision as expeditiously as possible. ""
Does it mean my application waiting minister,s decision ?

Nevermind Tony & Carmel, they have no idea what they at.. I miss Alan Shatter's famous sentence: Lazy bastards

all what you can do is wait and see. if you can call them (not mail) you may get a better answer rather than copy paste for everyone

@bluemoon2, the last response from the INIS to you stating your application is at final stage means your file came back from the desk of the minister and hopefully your approval letter is being prepared to be sent out to you in about a week or two or a little bit more.. But I can assure you, it's all very positive news for you so keep your hopes alive and get your passport photographs and €950 (if applicable) ready inorder to conclude your naturalisation process and receive the certificate at the March/April 2015 citizenship ceremony. Good luck mate! :)
