Adopted in the uk

Post by Sarahgates » Thu Dec 26, 2019 1:22 pm

I was adopted in the uk by a British family but understand my birth granddad was born in Ireland so would I be able to apply to be Irish even tho I was adopted? I always thought once adopted your birth family was lost.
Thanks for your feedback

If you were Irish before adoption then you will be fine, but if you were not, you will not be able to able to based on past relationship.
