There is an online system now:

"Introduction of new E-Payment System

As above outlined, when a person is notified by the Minister for Justice that it is her intention to issue them with a Certificate of Naturalisation, they are asked to submit payment in the sum of €950 to the Department of Justice. A new e-payment system has been introduced to allow applicants to pay the €950 online as an alternative to submitting a physical bank draft to the Department of Justice. The online payment process can be accessed using the following link. Applicants need to set up an account if they do not already have one and choose the option ‘Applications for Naturalisation’. They will then find a dropdown menu entitled ‘Citizenship Certificate Fee’ and then they should follow the steps to complete the process and pay the relevant fee. "

I would paste the link, but it belongs to a famous inmigration firm. So idk if that's allow. But if you google the above you'll find where it came from
This is why it's always good to investigate thoroughly and not quickly conclude and make allegation.

Yes. It is in that website that you'll have to pay now and enter information.

Of course don't do it until you received a letter of approval and telling you to do so, but the rest is legit yes

Submitted all the docs and fees online and sent declaration by post along with Irp card on 4th March. Status on inis website showing as submitted. Can everyone please update their status when it moves to completed.
This thread is for sending the signed affidavit after receiving the citizenship approval letter to receive naturalization certificate. Either you got into a wrong thread or you are just throwing bluffs out of blue. Because

1) There is no way you can pay CItizenship fees online. Its always bank draft
2) There is no way you can check the status in the inis website for Citizenship application.

Dude relax. If you are not aware of it doesnt mean there is "no way" it can be done.
i have been asked to submit fees online. & my status has been updated from submitted to completed today. i also received an email to confirm this

I submitted my INIS online form along with payment €950 on 8th March and received an mail that they received payment and today I received another email that they processed my payment for the certificate naturalisation today and they said I will receive a letter from them in due course regarding the final stage of my naturalisation application.
I am wondering if anybody else received this kind of email?

Hello,

This is incredibly intriguing. Looks like citizenship applications would be better tracked with this.

I sent in everything via registered mail (bank draft vs online payment) on the 8th of March and it was received on 9th (compliments of tracking). No emails and I’ll have to wait this out. I’m getting myself acquainted with the passport application in the interim.

Thanks for filling us in.

All the best,
B

That's slower than the rate of new applications isn't it?

Not sure but the article says 'A further 2,500 applicants will be contacted by the end of June. By then, the Department will have contacted all of those who were in the system for two years as of 30 December' - good to see.

From early 2020 there were around 3000 waiting and when the new (old) arrangements department mentioned there are 4000 will have their certificates by the end of May 21, I assummed that from March last year and up to date there are an additional 1000 approvals making the total they mentioned 4000, and this is supported by the fact that after 3 weeks from starting sending emails the sent 500 certificates. As we do not have much information than they release and if they continue on the same rate of 500 per three weeks, I hope not, this will make a total of approximately 4000 by the end of June 21, and this is coincides with the recent words. And if there are additional 2500 decisions by the end of December this makes 6500. But most of the initial approvals til early 2020 were from 2018/2019 and the applications from 2017/2018 exceeding 7000 I think it is far behind clearing these applications pending from 2016, this is supported by the fact that many Irish citizens became so while they applied only in 2020. So the question is that is the 4000 people reached by the end of this month are additional to and not deduct of the last years approvals? I hope so.

Hi - We sent the signed declaration along with the requested info to the citizenship dept 6 weeks ago but haven't received the naturalization certificate yet. We will probably check in with the department next week as they advised that it could take up to 6 weeks to get the certificate. But I was just wondering if anyone else has waited that long since submitting their declaration?

Thank you for your responses. Its good to know that we are not the only ones waiting for the 6 weeks. I'll probably follow-up by the end of next week but hoping that the certificate comes through before then!

The certificates are released in batches. So hopefully next batch will be released soon. However, You should still send an email after 6 weeks to check status as mentioned in the faq. Check the email address on inis website. It’s different to the email address for citizenship query.

Has everyone from first lot of affidavit who returned now recieved certificate? Are people still waiting?
I am still waiting for the certificate (received the email with an affidavit on 20/01 and my signed declaration was delivered on 27/01). I think my issue is that my declaration was witnessed in NI by a NI solicitor (my best shot in the lockdown conditions). I sent them an email asking if there is an issue with my declaration and received a copy-paste reply "wait 6 weeks, then contact us".
Hi Kalyna, I am in the same situation re: witnessing the declaration in the north. Would you mind to please update if/when you hear anything back so I know whether a northern solicitor is acceptable as a witness or if I need to make arrangements to go south (we are a few hours drive from the border and this is especially difficult during lockdown). If anyone has had their declaration approved or rejected with a northern witness could you please update here. Very much appreciated.
Still nothing unfortunately. I will wait until 6 weeks expires for an official verdict and after that will be aiming to go to Dundalk, sometime in April I guess, hopefully restrictions on both sides will be eased. Would be great to know if Garda are patrolling the crossing from NI to the Republic, I would not want to be stopped to be honest.
Hi Kalyna, just wondering if you got your certificate yet or any decision on your witness? Thanks

Appreciate your idea. Can you share that specific email (guess that's allowed to share as it should be legal email address from inis)as it seems to be very vague asking to check in inis? All we know is citizenshipinfo@justice.ie

The email is citizenshiponline@justice.ie
This email is strictly only for approved applications.
For all other matters it is still citizenshipinfo@justice.ie

Hi everyone, I received my approval and request for declaration letter via post (not received any emails) today. The last letter I received was a second stage letter on November 2019. I think it's a sign of a new batch of approvals and hope that there'll be more people getting their approvals/affidavits soon.
I sent my declaration and IRP today, will post here if/when I receive the certificate of naturalisation.

If anyone receives theirs in the meantime, please update here as well, it will be helpful for others waiting.

I did the online form and payment on inisonline.jahs.ie and I see the 950 euro charge in my bank account but the form still shows up as draft (not submitted yet). I also haven't received a confirmation email. Did anyone have this issue?

I can say this could be network delay or issue.
When I made the payment I received an email like below:

Re: Citizenship Application Number: XXXXX-CITZ-XX, Person ID Number: XXXXXX-XX, as submitted by you.
We have received your Citizenship Certificate Fee of € 950 which was submitted online on (DATE).
Your acknowledgement number for this is: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
You will receive an email notification when updates are made. Please ensure that you check your emails for new notifications.
If you have any queries regarding this transaction, please contact us at citizenshiponline@justice.ie.

You can try and email them: citizenshiponline@justice.ie and let them know and provide your payment details.

Hope this helps.

Best of luck.

Thank you very much for providing these details. I sent them an email and I don't know if this happened automatically or some manual intervention by the staff, I finally got the submission and payment email today. My IRP and declaration also arrived to the office today, let's see how long it'll take to receive the certificate of naturalisation.

Thanks for the update.
Is it possible for one to post the STATUTORY DELCARATION without the GNIB / IRP Card?
And after coming back from travel then send the card separately OR send all of them together with the declaration form when I come back from travel?
I am just being nervous and I cant wait to get my certificate but I need to travel quickly out of the country for 2 weeks. I have already bought the ticket before I got the approval and I have paid the €950.
Any suggestion is welcome. :)
