Nice touch from minister on letter along with the certificate.
I know that this journey has probably taken longer than you expected. Thank you for your patience and perseverance

Hi All

Good Day. This is for approval of Irish Naturalization :

1. Did anyone get an email of approval or everyone just got letter in post ? I got in post but no email. Is email mandatory ? I read it on INIS website that people will be informed by email !!
2. Postal letter has 'Declaration of Fidelity' and 'How to pay the fee' attached. Is there anything additional other than these two docs- which is there in email for those who got email ?

Please help.

After repeated emails they replied me back saying they haven't received the payment which I had send back in Jan 2020, even though they had acknowledged the receipt of it that time. Now I'm in the process of paying again online.
Few of my friends had send the documents in first week of Feb and they already received the certificate. So keep on emailing them till you get a reply.

Wait a second, are you telling me that you are going to pay twice (950 + 950)?

Just wait. They will send you the email.
I received the approval letter and an email with affidavit about a month later.
You will need to send a copy of your passport, two recent passport photos, original IRP/GNIB card and the bank draft for 950 euro (you can now pay online according to the recent changes).

Contact your bank and initiate a chargeback of the original transaction. It will be disputed and if the payment was indeed received by the Department, you will get a written confirmation from the bank.

Thanks Vorona !
I contacted bank last week and signed the indemnity form. Unfortunately I don't have the draft number, so they are trying to find it out from the bank statement. It will take few weeks anyway.

I don't think there is any point wasting time waiting for it. So I paid online last night. It's very frustrating but at the same time I'm glad that they figured it out now. I could be waiting another 2 years and chasing my postman everyday for nothing. Hopefully everything will end well. Fingers crossed 🤞

Hi everyone, I received my approval and request for declaration letter via post (not received any emails) today. The last letter I received was a second stage letter on November 2019. I think it's a sign of a new batch of approvals and hope that there'll be more people getting their approvals/affidavits soon.
I sent my declaration and IRP today, will post here if/when I receive the certificate of naturalisation.

If anyone receives theirs in the meantime, please update here as well, it will be helpful for others waiting.

I did the online form and payment on inisonline.jahs.ie and I see the 950 euro charge in my bank account but the form still shows up as draft (not submitted yet). I also haven't received a confirmation email. Did anyone have this issue?
Hi all, my wait for almost 2 years is finally over, I received my certificate of naturalisation via post today (dated April 9th), just before my birthday tomorrow - amazing birthday gift from Ireland! :D

I sent my declaration and submitted the online form and payment on March 22nd, so it took just 3 weeks after the documents and forms were submitted.

Anyone else get an email invitation to the virtual ceremony? I tried to RSVP using the "Yes" link provided but it just opens up another page that has a server error.

You cannot travel beyond county borders in Ireland at the moment. Surely signing legal documents should be a valid excuse, but travelling from Belfast to Dublin is a bit too much. Can you not find a solicitor in Dundalk / Drogheda or just anywhere along the border?
