Hi Friends

The below statement was from Minister McEntee as per the news-link below before she went on leave.
Any news whether the department is still trying to reach this target ? Any idea on how many certs have been issued in last 2 months or so and how many are in pipeline?

"We're working through quite a significant backlog that has been built up just in the last year, we have engaged with 4,000 people to date and by June we hope to have engaged with over 6,500 people," she said.

Could anyone please confirm if the Naturalisation Certificates are delivered by Registered Post (signature required) or will the postman drops it in the letter box?

Thanks.

Thank you Atlantino! So, if I am not at home, then will the postman drop the certificate in the letter box or will I have to collect it from the local An Post sorting office?

Hi

After sending servel email regarding certificate got this response below.

Dear Applicant

Thank you for your emails. While it is not possible to give an exact
timeframe, your certificate will be issued in due course.

Due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 Pandemic and the attendant
requirement to comply with public health guidelines, significant delays are
being experienced in general processing, particularly those functions which
require a staff presence in the office. We are working very hard to
maintain as prompt a service delivery as possible, under the circumstances.
As you can appreciate, the primary responsibility of this office has to be
the welfare of the general public and the health and safety of staff
members. Your continued patience in this matter is appreciated.

Phew... again a copy-paste reply with no commitment on dates ! and that too after you sending so many mails .. . I just wish they were a bit more sensitive while dealing with people waiting for years now ...

GIGPH,

I don't think it's necessary for you to becoming every morning with this update/reminder. These are spams
once we get it, we will update , I and my 5 mates sent affidavits in March, and seeing u coming up with ur comments brings more frustration than good. if it's quiet, it means no one got acert.

Thanx

Only the usual emails when you submit online and for fee processing which everybody gets , no separate confirmation email - atleast for me, can not say about others.
