There is a backlog of passport applications which is not going to be cleared in 8 weeks. I want to apply for a passport online, even before travelling to Ireland in 4 weeks. I do not envisage the passport arriving to my Irish address in those 4 weeks leaving me stranded abroad, no way they can be that fast. If it does, effectively cancelling my current passport, my closed ones would DHL me the new passport.
Thats the plan. I know this is my homework but do you spot any immediate issues?
