May I know what is your question?

My non-eu dependent will be applying for EU3 next month n Naturalisation after May this year.

just got a reply from the EU treaty rights section, it might be helpful for someone who is planning to apply for EU3 or Naturalisaion in 2021

Dear xxxxxxx xxxxxxx,

I refer to your most recent query.

If your wife is eligible, it is open to her to apply for a EU3 permanent
residence card/document or for naturalization or both at any stage. This
is entirely a matter for your wife to decide but she will need to have
current and valid permission in order to apply for naturalization.

As my colleague mentioned in the previous email, there is no fee to apply for a
permanent residence card/document
so it is unclear what 500 euro fee you
are referring to? If this fee relates to an application for
naturalization, you will need to address your query to the citizenship
webpage. However, both the EU3 and naturalization application processes
are separate processes.

Yours sincerely

UPDATE Guys!

When making your online application:

You will be asked to confirm that you have been exercising EU Treaty Rights to reside in the State on or before 31 December 2020 and continue to do so.

You will be asked to upload proof of identity and proof of current residence.

With Brexit coming into effect, the IRP expiry date of all existing non-EEA family member or dependent of a UK national reverts to 31/12/2020 (instead of the expiry date on the current IRP card) and this is the date to be included at Section 1.2 of the Online Application Form.

You will have until 31 December 2021 to apply.

Seem like the same form.

I will apply later and see how it goes. Please let us know if you are able to submit the application now.

Thanks

Did they fix the bug for applicants living outside Dublin? I checked this morning and only the link for people living inside Dublin County/city.

Are you living inside Dublin raja.brit?

Hi Water_tank1,

I live outside Dublin County.

I used the current form for Dublin as there was an update yesterday due to confusion with expiry of the current card which was the main issue.

The same form does gives option to choose address outside Dublin.

Honestly I don't know if they will re-label the form or create a new form or this is the final version. Im probably a ginny pig here n will fill you in of the outcome.

I hope it helps!

Hi,

I m on the same boat, I m a British Citizen and my wife has already applied for EU3 Application since March 2020 Temporary visa letter has been issued to her for 9 months but due to the closure of the immigration office in dublin. we have not registered it yet, another 9 month visa letter recently received by email.

My Question is can she apply under Withdrawal Agreement or she just get her Temporary visa registered, we are living in Dublin and I cant see related situation on this forum or anything about this situation on INIS website.

I need your advice guys

Thanks

You need to use the expiry as 31st December, 2020.

You can find your Eircode here. Please "DO NOT" leave any space between the eircode.

I don't think she can apply for WAB Card as the card expired last year. Bear in mind, this a card exchange scheme, so technically INIS cant issue you a new Stamp 4 card with an expiry of last year if you get what I mean.

Your dependent will be getting a Stamp 4 if/when her application gets approved.

You need to get your temporary Stamp registered with INIS.

Let us know how it goes.

Good question. Well this is the first time INIS is offering such a scheme I guess.

I reckon it should be soon I guess coz its merely an exchange of the card considering our current permission is still legit. Once finished, less than 2 weeks.

Q.6 How will I receive my Irish Residence Permit (IRP) Card/Withdrawal
Agreement Beneficiary Card?

A. Your Irish Residence Permit (IRP) Card will be sent to the address you
provide by Express Post and should be received within 5-10 working days
from the date of finalising your application.

Anyone else knows how long the online applications can take roughly to finalize?

Thanks

Hi All,

Thanks for all the informative posts and replies. I am in a bit of a different situation my wife had her EU3 application approved and has had her new card since nov 2020 with an expiry of 2026

does she still need to apply for an exchange, since it still says EUFAM on the residency permit?

TIA

All the eufam cards expired on 32 Dec. So she will need to replace her card but can be done by December 2021. So if she is expecting citizenship approval soon, you may not need to replace. But again nothing confirmed, they might ask you at a later stage to get card replaced as the irp card needs to be in date when citizenship is granted. Technically cards expires now on Dec 31, 2020 but they have given one year to replace. So it depends on dept how they look at it.

My understanding is yes, she needs to apply to exchange the card as permission is already approved.

Q.10 Can I keep my current card?

A. After the 31 December 2020, your current EUFam card is no longer valid
and will not be accepted as proof of permission. Once you have applied for
and received your new IRP card showing you are benefiting from the
Withdrawal Agreement you should dispose of the EUFam card safely.

Hi
I will be applying soon .I just uploaded last three month bank statement and 1 electricity bill .is there anything left which I need to upload in that online system??
One of my hubby friend said once you submit your application through their online website then you can't upload missing documents later.
And I we even don't know about acknowledgement email and application reference number by INIS.
