Next citizenship ceremony is 10th September in Dublin. Wish you very good luck who is waiting i just got invited..waiting so long for this. Thanks god.
I'm sorry but this is impossible.

1 because they wouldn't do a ceremony here in Dublin
2 if it was on the 10th of Sept it'd have been announced already
Hi! gorgeous@
If somebody got invitation for that’s means it’s 100
Percent confirmed that date which he get invited
Thanks
Hey @abelekhoh

According to INIS website:

"Please note that Citizenship ceremonies which were previously held in the Convention Centre Dublin will from 2018 onwards take place in a new venue:

Killarney Convention Centre (Gleneagle Hotel), Muckross Road, Killarney, Co Kerry."

Which means they don't have ceremonies in Dublin any longer...

They always had ceremonies in Dublin but they also had a small one in Limerick. We can’t predict how they function we can only speculate. All we need to do is wait and see. I was previously told back in May when I visited my local GNIB office that a ceremony is likely to be in September. Last time I spoke to them I was told there will be 2 later this year September and November.

Yes this latest news actually matches what you've been told recently. Also, it could be a small ceremony in Dublin somewhere else than the Convention Center.... would be great if Kevin could fill in the details. Hopefully others will get letters today and can confirm later on....

Guys, one of my European friend who applied in January got the approval letter and a ceremony invitation for September. He told me that it will be in Dublin.
Looks like it is official but nothing on the website. It is very strange. :?

Congrats @Kevin2018.

If you don't mind could you post a screenshot of the invite, please?
Of course, strike off all the confidential details and I'm only interested in the dates and the location.

Guys it’s been confirmed by more than one person. So it has to be true. There will be a small ceremony for the guys who missed out in May ceremony and hopefully a bigger one later in November. It is also consistent with the info given over the phone.

There is no such law. Can you confirm please provide the link. Besides someone mentioned that last year Limerick ceremony was arranged like this in haste. Anyways I choose to believe it’s true as it’s been confirmed by more than one person and you may choose to believe it’s not true. We will find out in few days either way 😜
Anyways I think it is only for the people who were approved and had paid fees earlier. So it really doesn’t affect me but happy for all those whose GNiB s were taken and were effectively prisoners in the country

I also hope it's true because I also gave them my GNIB and I really need it.
Thanks

Guys read the context:"Citizenship ceremonies which were previously held in the Convention Centre Dublin ..." so those big ones won't be held in Dublin anymore but in Killarney. It doesn't mean that no ceremonies will be held at all in Dublin. There could be, smaller scale in a different venue.

Forget about what you read on the internet. I had also been invited today to attend the ceremony on the 10th of September in DUBLIN. It is held in the National Concert Hall in D2.
Best of luck to everyone.

Wow, that’s mental! Apparently it’s true then. Happy for you all guys. Just hope that there’ll be one in November then? A big one in Killarney. I wonder why they’re doing a small one in Dublin instead of just doing a big one...

Hahaha right? I just find it weird cause they haven’t announced anything on their website yet. The auditorium in D2 has capacity for 900 people. Wonder how many will attend

I applied last October, got the passport back withing a few days and a second stage letter in February.
On the 17th of April i rang them looking for an update. I was told on the phone that they were waiting for a garda clearance report and that my file will be submitted soon. I asked if there was a way of me making into the May's ceremony and i was told "no".
I got home from work ON THE VERY SAME DAY and my approval was sitting in the letter box. They got the payment on April 18th, but i wasnt included in May's ceremony.
I sent them an e-mail at the end of July, telling them how my husband and i haven't been able to book our honeymoon as i've been waiting for their dates all summer and that they shouldn't expect people to put their lives on hold ( i know they don't care, i was a bit annoyed) and i got a reply saying that the next one could be Sept. If not it ll be Nov at latest.
I know i had a easier process than others here, but don't waste your time trying to guess what they ll do next...
