Hi guys, hopefully someone can advice.
I applied in april 2021, no vetting received yet.

But now i have been served with an eviction notice and the owner requires the possession of the property within 28 days. What happens to my application? I dont even have a place where to go?
I assume correspondence will be sent to the same address. Can i write to the department to send the letters to the solicitor instead of my address ?
Please advice.
Thankyou

They want you to submit your new address with proof of living via this form I reckon. Since solicitor's office can't give you a water bill, etc with your name on it for an office building, doubt it's very straightforward. You can try to ask them via email whether that's possible, but that might take too long.
If you have an address that you trust and want to use for this purpose, eg a relative, you can change your address in the banking app now and request a duplicate statement, which you can use as proof of address here. My bank allowed me to change address with no hassle, at least. Nothing stops you from trying to pull this trick with your solicitor's office, but it sounds sketchy as your financial stuff will go there and citizenship folks might (in theory) have questions as to why do you live in an office building, so wouldn't recommend.
You can also get post forwarding from An Post, but you better check with the new owners for safety sake regardless.

My advice would be to use the An Post Mail redirection service to a friend or work address (https://www.anpost.com/Post-Parcels/Man ... edirection) until you have a new place to live and then contact immigration with your new address.

I used that service, completely useless, should get my IRP card to new address for activated forwarding, but they anyway were delivered to old one, wasting money, no one guarantees it will work as expected

I'd say good to do all three when you get a friend's address: throw in the form for Ctizienship Dept to change it, get Mail Redirection (hopefully it'll pass over at least something, but no guarantee) and check your old place of residence regularly to see if there's anything for you (giving heads up to landlord and new tenants you'll be doing that).

Didn't get the eVetting invitation (for which I hoped) and I assume they'll move a big bulk of people to prepare the ceremony, so next year it is for me I reckon.

I used the redirection mail service too, it didn't work unfortunately

True.

Redirection doesn't always work, after paying for the services we still have to keep an eye at the old address.

I heard theres an eviction ban for the next 6 months, i can only hope that i can stay at the same address and the minister gives me some sort of response on my April 2021 application. I will have 23 months in the month of march next year.

Let's have a list of people who didn't get e-vetting yet - me and my spouse (stamp 1+4 and 3+1G) applied July 2021, clear case, didn't get e-vetting yet.

I sent a query to them, but got general response from Team 34.

Anyone else?

The same here. I applied on July 2021 (Non-EU, 5 years residency) and haven't got e-vetting yet. I sent an email to them some time ago asking about the status update and got a standard copy-paste that my application was in process. No news since that.

Same situation here, it has been 15 months since I applied no e-vetting, no update and standard canned responses from the help desk. 2 of my friends who applied at pretty much same time either got their approvals or completed evettings and waiting for the approvals. I just feel unlucky here

Me too april 2021 and no vetting.
By the way guys after thinking twice i have decided to leave Ireland after living here for like 15 years.
Next year if the minister decides my application or not i am leaving anyway.
Main reason for this is cost of living, skyrocketing rents and almost 70 to 80 percent salary going in private landlords pockets and always worried of eviction notices and quality of life is very poor as compared to other states, i am feeling very sorry to say all this, i am not happy saying this but its becoming very tough to survive in this country especially when you have a family and kids.

I feel much relieved now and my search for apartments or houses have come to an end because i have decided to leave and live in another country where i can save money and look after my life with my own money rather than working for landlords.

I will wait until next summer because my naturalisation application 23 months are due in march 2023.

I do agree with your points. Have you requested FOI already? I would go for it if I were you to see the progress of your application (if there is any of course). I don’t think there is anything to lose.

My application will be 1 year old in 2 weeks and I did eVetting recently but with no update since. Im planning to request FOI just for curiosity but also unsure wondering if it would delay my application or not. But at the moment average time is around 16-17 months so hopefully your application will be finalised soon.

I applied in November last year and have not got an e vetting. I had a minor traffic offence which was cleared right before I applied for naturalisation. However a friend of mine told me that if you have had any traffic offence for which you got penalty points and fine and even if you paid that on time, they will delay your application. Is that true?
I had paid that fine and penalty points were cleared 6-7 months before application and I disclosed it in the form?
Anybody could please fill me in how to apply for FOI or shall I ask my solicitor to just ask them about the status of my application?

Thanks in advance

Guys just relax. There is almost no one that has been approved that applied after June 2021. If u follow closely approvals are for all applicants until May. I saw one for Nov and one who applied in 2022. But there is a lot of people in the 2021 thread who have not had approvals , nor a vetting.

I for one applied on sept 1st last year, my vetting was finished and viewed on the 1st of April and it’s been silence since then . But from the way things are going , no sept applicants have got approvals yet. So I am waiting .

Hi thankyou.

I will move to Manchester as i know two of my friends moved there 4 years ago and today they own there own property through mortgage and they have stable jobs, salary is far more than here.
I am not blaming Ireland in this but these days in Ireland homelessness has become a norm, after spending more than a decade i dont think i will live in adverse conditions where i have to share a room with many.

I know this board is for immigration purposes but thankyou immigration boards for letting us share our thoughts. I will be moving out next year, hopefully the minister decides on my application by then.

Don't think thats the problem. We applied 29th of September 2021 and haven't even received evetting yet. Others who applied October/November 2021 have already received evetting according to the timeline. The others above also haven't received evetting even though they applied in September or earlier yet they have moved on to October/November.

How about sending an email with your reference number to Justice department? A default reply maybe. But at least give them a simple reminder if you feel FOI is too much.
Of course, Ireland is not the only place on the earth.

Getting eVetting doesn't really mean anything. I applied in November 2021 and got eVetting, it's done at October 24th and viewed and since then there is no updates. If you are not making to ceremony in December, there will be no update to your application (apart from request of missing documents), even tomorrow you get an approval, it won't mean anything till you join to next ceremony. Most likely they will ask everyone to attend to ceremony instead of asking them to sign fidelity to nation form. I read on a FB group that there will be a ceremony in March 2023 but this is just speculation and there is nothing official.

And till December ceremony is done I don't think there will be any update as all teams will be busy with sending invitations. There are people not hearing anything after their eVetting done even after 6 months or there are people getting approval a week after their eVetting is complete. Apart from problematic or complicated applications they will process September, October, November application batches for next ceremony most likely.

Also keep in mind that before 23 months, you will keep getting generic replies about your application is being processed. If you are really curious about the progress you can ask for FOI. I am still unsure if I will request FOI as my application is almost year old now. I am just a bit worried that if requesting FOI would have any bad impact on my application.

Sent FOI application and found this one in acknowledgement.

Our colleagues who process the citizenship/naturalisation applications have informed us
that the increased volume of correspondence they receive in relation to applications has had
a significant impact on the time line for processing a standard application, which is now in
excess of 12 months.

Well :) Seems they think it is our fault that they process applications too long, because we ask too much questions...

funny thing is they don't even creative responses, it is just copy paste same reply. And I don't think the staff that dealing with applications are the ones that is answering the emails. Besides they do accept it takes 23 months already.

Did anything useful came back from your FOI Request? Any progress or anything about eVetting results at all?

Guys do ye think there would be more approval before the next ceremony in December 😃 I got my second vetting viewed in February this year. I was expecting large volume of approvals.
