HI guys,

We received approval today, applied in Nov 2021.
We submitted all the docs requested on https://inisonline.jahs.ie/ and proceeded with card payment... all seemed to go well, after the payment screen I just got a white page with an "OK", that s it, no receipt, no emails, money seems to have been taken out of the card.

What do I do ? :D

Thanks!

Edit:
It should be all good, just got an email with the acknowledgement number, happy days :)

Acknowledgement Date: 23/01/2023
Vetting invitation form (NVB1) received: 23/01/2023, completed and sent 28/01/2023

There are at least 2 applicants now who applied later and received approval already. I have applied 1 day before (16.1) and haven't even got the e-vetting link yet. Also applied based on 5 years residence - eu citizen. So far absolutely no contact from their side. Frustrating :x
I've applied a year and a half ago and still didn't get approval, so I'm afraid your situation is the norm. Also don't post in timelines, please.

It is simply a massive scandal! They are approving 2023 applicants, whilst 2021 and 2022 applicants suffer! This clearly slows down processing for 2021 and 2022 applications.

People need to raise this with their TD's, The Minister and the media!

Outrageous! Something very fishy going on!

Its the biggest fraud in the System. My wife applied in 1st week of september, 2021. There is no update in last 19 months apart from acknowledgment. in every forum or JR reply, ISD says they are following chronological order but actually there is no such chronological. There is no transparency in the process. Whole process and system is totally Grey.

You need to contact your TD and other opposition party TD's. Get them to raise this in Parliament! Also contact media outlets. It is simply outrageous that they completely talk to the 2021 and 2022 applicants. I think they are trying to "cook the books" to make their numbers look better!

Social media is fine, but the only thing that will really change things is, if people put political pressure and söme form lf accountability.

Wouldn't be surprised if they are fast tracking 2023 applications to quickly bring down the median waiting time, or so the Dept and/or Minister can sneakily say average waiting times for 2023 applications is X amount (by current data, about four or so months!) Either way, 2021 and 2022 applicants are being completely screwed and should be rightly livid!

Political people focus on mass people issues but not 1-10 cases in each town. Definitely they can/will listen problem and issue but there is no guaranty that they will raise this issue in Parliament and when they will raise nobody knows.
I totally agree ISD is currently focusing on bring down the median waiting time based on 2023 applications which is totally unethical and Paint the Picture according to own.

They focus on small and big issues - that is called representative democracy. You can Google Dáil questions and there have been lots of questions in the last few months relating to it - delays, e-vetting, etc. So clearly they do ask questions.

Hi there! I just want to ask if there is anyone who applied in June 2021 - September 2021 and who never received e-vetting invitation.

My Wife's E-vetting completed in March 2023, but no news after that. Applied in Sep 2021.

Got my e-vetting invitation just one day ago (applied on June 21). I contacted my local TDs a few weeks back, and one of them sent a letter to the Citizenship unit asking about the current status of my application. They sent a generic response. However, there is some progress here. Having said that the Citizenship unit ignored me entirely and stopped responding to my emails a while ago.

I paid my 950 fee in March and only got confirmation like two weeks ago. My husband paid May 5 and got confirmation today. Waiting now for the invite for June.
Great. What were your time lines
We applied from Feb 2020. Eventually threatened judicial review in late January. That got the ball rolling. We got a response roughly two weeks after that.

Am I the only one who didn't get anything moving since May 2021. I got my application number in September 2021. My spouse applied a bit later and got her Citizenship in Dec 2022.

In March I wrote them a letter and they replied that process's going normally, no need to bother them.

I'm not sure what to do at this point...

Hi dubadub, have you tried to make an FOI request or contact your local TD? I applied in June 2021, got acknowledgement on November 2021, and heard nothing from them afterwards. I sent several emails asking about the current status but got no response at all. I emailed my local TD asking about assistance, and she asked them about my application status. A couple of weeks after, I finally got an e-vetting invitation. Having said my case is straightforward, no absence in the country longer than 6 weeks, etc.

Re sending them an email, based on what I read here and my own experience, they barely check what you send, just give you a very generic reply. Something like "current processing time is 19-23 months... we will contact you if more information is needed... your patience in this matter is very much appreciated".

Alright, might be the way to do it. Maybe my case isn't straightforward and that's why it takes time. After I made redundant for a few months I was on a job seekers benefit, could it be the reason why it's delayed?

I don't really know if it's the issue. They generally look at stamps, absence in the state, and proof of residence/address. If the case is not that straightforward, they usually request additional documentation. Nothing additional was requested, right? FOI request may help to understand if there is an issue with the documents provided. And TD may help to get some visibility on your case if the waiting time is significant and there is no response from them, i.e. time exceeds the given range of 19-23 months from getting your docs by them until the minister's decision. Anyway, you can try both options.

Husband just received an email today around 2pm from citizenship confirming his payment (from the 15th) of 950 has been processed today. Hopefully that means he will be invited to the ceremony.

Once you pay the fees of 950 EUR. How do we get confirmation for the next step ...which I suppose is ceremony invitation... Is it via email or via post ..
