Not gonna mix this with 2021 timeline topic.

I submitted my application in January 2021, I received passport, acknowledgement, reference number and receipt of payment in March 2021.

I received email reply few days ago that my application is currently at an advanced stage of processing. While it is not possible to give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch with you as soon as a decision has been reached.

I was surprised because I didn't expect advanced stage so early  , considering the level of waiting time for people who applied 2-3 Years ago.

Anyone in the same situation?

Approval received yesterday: 20/06/2022
Declaration of Fidelity to the nation and loyal to the state attached.
Declaration completed and certificate fees paid online and sent back today.
No invitation for ceremony.

This is a long shot but here we go: I was reading some UK citizen's application for Irish naturalization and he shared the timeline of events and how much each step took. He mentioned that first he got acknowledgement letter and 15 months later he got another letter saying his application is proceeded to second stage of processing (which is called second stage letter that we quote when copy pasting in timeline I guess?). This was from 2018.

I checked my acknowledgement letter and it says "your client's application has now been initially assessed and has proceeded to the second stage of processing". So does it mean they are sending second stage letters together with acknowledgement or did they change the process? Because I think it's right now: acknowledgement, eVetting and then citizenship approval.

It doesn't matter much but just wondering what is the "second stage of processing".

Applied in May, 2021 and acknowledgment in Oct, 2021. Got FOI and application doesn't seems to be processed after issuance of acknowledgment letter.
Any advice other than waiting?

I was planning to request FOI when a year is completed, but from your experience I believe mine will be more or less the same. It's too early to go to JR route as it's haven't been 2 years yet.

I think they are moving in batches, they are approving January and February applications nowadays. And more or less in a month they will be done with sending all acknowledgements to 2021 applicants. So I think for 12-13 months after application date there will be no progress and after that they will send eVetting and give approvals 2-3 months later, making the whole process to 14-15 months.

So I think if you applied in May, you will get eVetting and approval with other May applicants, there is no prioritizing straightforward applications (so applicant from August won't get approval before applicant in May) but they will only postpone complicated applications.

All of this is just my guess.

Anyone know how soon certificate will be posted?

Same for me! At this point it could even just take a couple of weeks to receive our certificate (assuming that they have processed our payment after approving the oath of fidelity)

yeah, hopefully we do. I just don't understand why other people who applied same as us or even before are not getting the oath of fidelity letter. My husband is not receiving it yet and I don't understand the delay

From what I can gather, some of the delays are down to your home Country and how quickly they process requests for information from the Irish authorities. Hope that is of help.

My application was received by Citizenship on 24/2/21.

I emailed them the other day saying: "I am writing to you with regards to the above application which you received on 24/02/21.

As it has been with you for over 12 months, I would greatly appreciate it if you could inform me of the status of my application. Please let me know if there is anything required from my side."

The response was, " Thank you for your email.
Your application continues to be processed. While it is not possible to give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch as soon as a decision has been reached."

I have not received a Garda e-vetting letter or anything since the initial letter with the application reference number and receipt for €175.

I had my application sent in around the same time in 2021 still no Guarda Vetting. Monique Kenny

Hi there,
I am tracking each message daily, and I have not seen any person who applied after February 2021 and received an e-vetting link already. Not everybody on earth is posting here, therefore I wanted to ask, do you have any friends who applied in March - April May - June and received an e-vetting link?

the e-vetting link received time was around 12-13 months from application date, but now I see that the time is getting longer again :(

I'd say it's because they are still approving 2020 applications. If they go in chronological order they would rather finish those ones first
