That's correct. Just spoke to people at the department. A lady replied April is the next ceremony and invitations to be sent out soon. I am new here, so just to give some info about my situation:

Applied in December 2010
Approval in November 2012
Was not included for the December ceremony. I was told today, I shall be invited at the April ceremony.

Happy new year to everybody here and lots of hope and patience!

Wow , they just completely skipped the February ceremony. I had got the approval on Dec 6th sent out the photo , draft , and gnib card next day hoping the ceremony will be in Feb .... but looks I have to leave this country without the citizenship as I have to start my new job in US on 1st April and have planned to leave Ireland in last week of March :(

I guess I will have to contact inis citizenship dept for the return of my 950 euro bank draft... The Irish citizenship was not for me anyway after 10 years of being in Ireland (was a student for 3.5 years)

Initial processing team checks your application if it fulfils all the requirements of residency.

Further processing team send out request and collects reports from outside agency (garda , revenue etc).

Advance processing team prepares your file with all the reports from outside agency to be sent for final processing to the minister for his decision.
I am not sure Advanced processing team even exists. My letter with approval came from the Further processing team.

Hi All,

Happy new year to you. I sent an email to DOJ this morning and this is the reply I got back. Any advice what does this mean? It does not say further processing or anything at the bottom.

***
Thank you for your E Mail the contents of which have been attached to your file. Your application is currently being processed with a view to establishing whether it meets the statutory conditions for the granting of naturalisation, such as good character and lawful residence, and will be submitted to the Minster for decision as expeditiously as possible.

As far as I know in the emails they do not write what actual team is replying. Check your last postal correspondence. In paper letters they state who is processing the case at the moment.

Also judging by the reply they gave, it usually means they are waiting for the Garda report.

Based on their response, it seems like your application is at the low stage of processing. eg waiting for Garda report, revenue, s.welfare etc

When did you apply and have you any offences here in Ireland or anywhere else?

I applied on the basis of 5 years residency. I applied in Dec 2011 and as far as I remember I dot have any offences. I was in court once in 2004 for not producing the insurance but I paid the fine. Since then all is good paying around 20-30K a year in taxes, married to an Irish National and I am in the country for over 10 years now.

That counts as an offence and I hope you have mentioned that in your application. Good luck

I had e-mail the citizenship section re the next ceremony date they have said no date has been decided as yet.

So the rumour for April is wrong.

I will not argue here. I never email them now as I did so times before and got copy/paste replies. I got confirmation over the phone that the next ceremony was in April. I know a couple more people here on the forum got confirmation over the phone about April. I really would love if April was wrong and we got an earlier month. Lets hope that's wrong.

I hope it is true, 3 more months waiting will be bit too much. By the way, previous Tuesday I was told by the lady on phone that it will be in April so not sure whom to believe.

Hi Smith, can you send me the exact number that you rang INIS with? They always keep telling me that its not available after their gibberish generic automated talk. I have their 2 numbers but none seem to be working!
