Citizenship under the basis of parenting to an Irish Child

Post by marih » Mon Mar 22, 2021 12:34 pm

Hi!

I want to ask about my chances of acquiring an Irish Citizenship.

Im currently a stamp 4 holder under Critical Skills Permit

I have an irish child with my irish partner.

I have been a resident and working in the estate for 3 years.

I want to know the pathway to apply for a citizenship for myself, I heard that I only need 3yrs of reckonable reaidence to be deemed qualified, i cant seem to find the right process online about this.

TIA for your help and for reading.

No. There is no citizenship by ascent. You need to wait for 5 years.
