Hi guys!!

Today I’ve got my approval! Thanks God 🙏🏻
3 years waiting for the letter and the day has arrived.
E-vetting was disclosed on 8th of July and my letter was dated 4th of August. Done by CMU2. My letter mentioned I will get an invitation early Nov for December’s ceremony. I hope you guys get your approval letter soon as well!! Best of luck 🤞🏻
Congratulations!!!!!

Can I ask you how long they are giving you to pay the 950 euro fee? Do they mention 4 weeks?

Thanks
They gave me 28 days to pay online!

Hello,

Is there anyone who got approval from CMU4. I applied in January 2021 based on stamps (1-4).
Got the acknowledgement in February 2021. Then received the Garda e-vetting request in April 2022. I completed the e-vetting process and the E-vetting disclosure was made on 10th May 2022. After this there is complete silence and I heard nothing. Now I started to get worried as I see people who applied after me they already got the approval and some even got the passport. Should I contact the department or should I wait and is there anything to worry about? Thanks in advance

The same happened to my husband, with very similar dates to yours. The only difference is he applied in September 2020. Try to contact them but unfortunately, they either ignore you or tell you that they are working on it. Hopefully, you'll both receive an answer soon. Who knows what's the difference between CMU1, CMU2, and CMU4?

Hi, I have the same question. I got my acknowledgement letter in November 2021, and the person who e-mailed me to confirm address was from CMU1. Maybe it is related to application stages... I applied based on stamps 1-4 as well.

I'm in the same boat. I got my acknowledgment letter on October 21 from the CMU1. I'm still waiting for the e-vetting letter.

Any Idea on how long it takes between the E-Vetting Permission Letter & the email.

I submitted the letter on the 1st of July, and no email yet.
my evetting was viewed on the 9th of june and i got an aproval on the 17th of june. I applied early february 2021
Like the above. I received a letter on 12th July 2022. Email came 2 days later. Disclosure viewed on 25th July 2022. Since then, Nothing. I sent in a Freedom of Information request to see my Garda Vetting report. You don't get a copy automatically. Waiting on that to arrive.

I believe the CMU number is the area looking after the Application process. EU citizens inc UK are 1. Non EU are other areas. I could be wrong but that's what I'm led to believe.

Applied in April 2012 based on stamps 1-4, non-EU. Completed my e-vetting and exposed to INIS on April 26, 2022. Then no any updates. It should not be because of the result of e-vetting as I did an e-vetting for taking a volunteer work three years ago. My application is being processed by CMU2.

hopefully you'll get something for the next ceremony, it's not extremely far

Oops! You are right that I applied for it in 2021. Thank you.
I thought I would get the approval and certificate soon and then get my passport before Christmas so that I could use it during holidays. But now...er... just keep fingers crossed.

Hi, this cannot be true, because I am NON-EU and I received the acknowledgement from CMU1.. I suppose it is just random.

For the evetting form, can we fill it online on PDF reader or do we have to fill it with a black pen only? Because if we fill it online on PDF, it will be easily readable to the INIS team.

Can anyone shed some light into this please?

No worries, please don't overthink than much, fill it with a pen and send it. This form is a formality, unless you have a ugly calligraphy, you will be fine. Don't forget, All in CAPS.

PS: A pdf reader (the program) doesn't allow edition, unless you have acrobat, which is a different program

E vetting and citizenship application

Post by Chulbul Panday » Wed Aug 24, 2022 1:51 pm

Hi,
I applied for naturalisation in May 2020 and acknowledgment was received in Aug 2020 and nothing after that until end of July 2022 when I received a letter for E-vetting which I filled out and sent by post. I then received a link for evetting two days ago.
Its a very lengthy and delayed process and you are lucky if you are receiving a response within two years timeframe.
I hope like most of people decision on my application will be made soon.

I just received the e-vetting invitation on 17/08/2022 and sent it back to them the same day. I later realised I should have sent a copy of an ID for verification, it that true? I totally forgot about it, can you suggest what can be done now?

Send the form again with copy of your ID, it’s not a special form or anything, someone posted PDF version of the form in some thread here, so you can reprint it and send it again with proper copy of ID.

The same happened to me. I sent a form without copy of ID. Everything was ok. I later received my evetting link. I wouldn’t worry in your place
