We applied on 09/11/2021 and received e-vetting invitation letter from INIS on 27/09/2022 - we sent it back to INIS on 28/09/2022 but we have not received the Garda invitation yet.

The question is mainly for the applications done via solicitor. Can you tell if they send your eVetting form (physical one to fill out) to your address or to your solicitor’s address?

I applied through solicitor, the paper form went to my solicitor, I had to go in in person to sign and provide a copy of my passport. The link came to my email directly.

Yes even i read this page but i didnt find any online application page...

My Justice Plan 2022 commits to developing a fully digital, customer-centric immigration service and to enhance the efficiency of our immigration system. In line with these commitments, a number of actions have been taken to reduce the impact on immigration processing times, including the introduction of online applications, a new customer service helpdesk and a new customer-focused immigration website.

anyone has any idea about it ?

I suppose they mean online immigration applications (Dublin renewals), not citizenship?

link doesnt work for some reason, so here's an updated one: https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/debates/qu ... 53/#pq_453
but 27 applications processed in a year is quite a pace (I assume 24 final stage applications will get their certificates in Dec)

Hi all,

I applied for citizenship in 2021 and recently changed my passport. I have emailed the department via citizenshipinfo@justice.ie about the change but I haven't received any response.

Yesterday I received E-vetting for the citizenship application. It seems it asks me to submit a copy of ID. Would providing the new passport cause any issues?

Thanks for your help!

Better to provide a copy of both old and new passport. and write a letter with all details. it will help in future.

What is the return address of eVetting form? Is it:

Department of Justice, Rosanna Road, Tipperary Town, Co Tipperary, E34 N566?

Yes, the returning address is E-Vetting team CMU 2, Department if Justice, Rosanna Road, Tipperary Town.

I think the only difference is they want it to be sent to eVetting team directly.

Hiya,

My application is based on 5 years EU.
Applied: November 2021
Acknowledgement received: June 2022
E-Vetting Invitation: 27/09/2022
E-Vetting Invitation returned: 28/09/2022
Still awaiting E-Vetting link, I can see a few people have received the link within a couple of days of returning the invitation. Anyone know what email address the E-Vetting link comes in under and how long does it usually take to receive the link by email?

Thank you.

I do not know the email address the E-Vetting link comes in under. However we also applied in November 2021 and our applications received an E-vetting invitation on 27/09/2022, similarly to you, and we are still awaiting for the link to be sent to us.
I have been looking into the time taken between receiving the Evetting invitation and the E-vetting link (from the posts in the 2021 timeline) and it appears to be quite variable. Minimum time recorded: 1 day, and maximum: 58 days. Although, lately it seems that the link is sent quite quickly after the invitation is sent.
In any case we emailed INIS yesterday asking about the link that has not been sent yet to us, and we got this response:

"Dear XXXXXX,
Thank you for your email.
I can confirm that the Division has engaged in concentrated effort to process and complete all cases that remain outstanding for a considerable period of time.
Your patience in this matter is appreciated.the link will be sent shortly
Regards

Citizenship Helpdesk
Team 4"

I hope the above helps.

There was a case that someone didn't get eVetting after 2 months and they decided that the form was lost in post. So they decided to send it again.

Did you send it as registered post? If yes and if it's delivered then you can send them an email and ask. If you didn't send it as registered post, then you can try sending the same form again (as there is nothing unique about the form) and then see when it's delivered.

I sent mine back yesterday and it got delivered today. I can let you know if and when I get the eVetting link.
