Hi Friends I have noticed some people have started to receive their e vetting requests, I also applied in November 2021 however I have not received any such post. I only received my acknowledgement back in June However my solicitor has not received any correspondence from the department at all. What could be the issue?

In reality nobody knows. People get e-vetting invitations, and then some of them get the subsequent link in a day, some in 5, some in 10, some in 60 days. Other people get their e-vetting invitation "early", compared with other applicants, but then their approval is very late. And then other people get their e-vetting invitation "late", compared with other applicants, but their approval comes very close to their e-vetting invitation.
In the end, all in all, a lot of the applicants end up having spent similar amounts of time waiting for the process to come to an end.
INIS probably have their own patterns and ways to deal with the backlogs they have, but since we are not there we are not aware of how they progress the various queue lines of the applicants.

Whole process is non-transparent and grey. Order of applications are not Chronological. I applied in Sep-2021 first week and still waiting for E-vetting. however Oct/Nov-2021 and even 2022 application get processed.

I used to think e-Vetting is last step of the application before getting approval. But now I am not so sure about it. As I saw some earlier posts that people got asked for missing/more documents after their e-Vetting done indicates that they just randomly (or with some non-clear way) send e-Vetting requests to applicants when their application is not fully processed yet (so their application is not fully checked, like some more documents might be asked still). Maybe there is workload of eVetting department and whenever they have some more space, they just send more citizenship applicants to eVetting, regardless of their application status.

But from what I see, you get e-Vetting request around 11th month after your application. It's the same for my case also, I applied in mid november and got e-Vetting request last week. But from what I also see, people have to wait few more months (like 6 more months give or take) even their e-Vetting is done. So one way or another, whole process takes like 18-19 months.

I had a little hope that if they are trying to rush more approvals for the ceremony in December but I doubt it would be the case for applicants applied after September. I will be asking for FOI at mid november (when 1 year mark is passed) to see what is done (or if anything is done at all) for my application.

December ceremony is 5th-6th and invitations are usually sent 3 weeks - month in advance, so I'd say chances for someone who applied after summer to get into a Dec one are slim indeed.
Most likely your eVetting assumption is correct; I'd hope they aim to clear applications up to 2022 as much as possible and expedite their processing so they can fully commit to a new Scorecard way of evaluating applications, but who knows, just need to wait.
Feel free to share whatever FOI uncovers.

Good analysis, its not entirely correct i am afraid.

I applied in april 2021, no vetting received yet.
23 months response replied to my email which i wrote in the month of August.

Case is very straightforward.
5 years non eu stamp4.
Stamp4 valid for the next 10 years.
No convictions.

Ouch, now I lost my hopes even further. Have you tried requesting FOI to see what is the progress?

I don't think i will get in touch with them during 23 months as i know the response what i will get.

FOI will only confirm that the file is sitting doing nothing.

I didn't get any vetting, does that mean the case is not so straightforward for them ?

That's the problem, no one knows whats going on or how it's done. There were stories that files left idle, or there also cases that the documents you attached to your application got "missing" and they ask you to provide them again.

Check FOI info from here : ireland/foi-foe-citizenship-application-t314235.html

And this is the FOI details page of Justice Department: https://jobs.justice.ie/en/JELR/Pages/WP15000241

Just request your files and see what's the progress. Yes before 23 months there isn't much to be done as in threatening with going to JR way. But you can still see the progress.

It's better than sitting in total silence I would imagine.

Guys, how does one go about FOI application?

I applied on sept 1 2021 and got my e-vetting viewed April 4th 2022. Straight toward application with not a single conviction.

This is coming to 7 months since my e-vetting was viewed.

At the current look of things, if I don’t get an approval this month, there is no way I can see myself in the dec 5th or 6th ceremony.

I wanna try the FOI route. May be I will trigger an answer.

It's not gonna nudge department to anything I'd say, but at least you can see what were they up to for the time being (and maybe share here). Things might happen, like in this post - ireland/citizenship-application-process ... 73543.html

Just wondering, can you see/download your eVetting results once it's completed? Or can it be only seen by ISD? No particular reason to see it myself but just wondered.

You cannot see or download the e-Vetting results. It's only available to the ISD. All you can see is the status confirming if the ISD viewed it.

in theory - yes, evetting system allows that but it's supposed to be facilitated through the organization that requested it (ISD in our case), so not in this case. If you do it through different agency, then maybe.
Also I think results might be present on FOI.

I applied in early November 2021 and got the e-vetting form in the post on 25th of Sep 2022. I sent it back the next day, but have not received the email link. Are there any people here still waiting on their link?
I emailed the immigration, but they just said I will received the link in due course. So not helpful. Hopefully my application will not be cancelled as it is coming close to 28 days deadline and not sure they got the form.

30 day deadline starts when you receive the electronic vetting link via email. Did you send it as registered post or standard post?

Hi guys ,
Anyone have an idea, if police clearance would be requested from any one lived or from non eu countries, I remember I saw in this form some people where asked for police clearance from countries they were lived in in the past like Saudi Arabia and also from the UK, if they ask for this after vetting, then what is this vetting doing. I am actually preparing my file to apply end of the month, and I lived in Saudi Arabia for some years, there is no way to get something from there while the person is no longer a resident. Wherever in my last week in Saudi Arabia I got police clearance just in case if I need in the future for work or so, it is now of course expired, anyone know if they would ask me for such, can I use that old one knowing that it is expired, and I never been there since I got it?

If anyone from old applicants know a way to get police clearance from Saudi Arabia in case it is requested, please let me know how it can be done.

I got the same over the weekend, on Monday it should change to scheduled for completion. And from that mine took another day to finish. Tbh, I highly doubt someone works on any stage of those applications over the weekend.

Actually I got that update also today along with the “in process (nvb)”. Same day and time that it says “application submitted to nvb for processing” now it also says “application scheduled for completion”. So it got an update for one of the early dates. I submitted on 14th.

I think the tracking system isn’t really precise with the updates

just like mentioned earlier, mine got completed today (after 10 days) and got "disclosure viewed" 20 minutes after completion. So I believe the timeline is mostly automatic as it's weird it takes 10 days for everyone exactly.

Has anybody seen the time line for 2022 topic?
Application Based On: 5 year Non-EU Stamp 4 (and stamp 3/1G for my spouse)
Applied Date: 2022-03-03 - posted
Application received Date: 2022-03-04
Acknowledgement Date: 2022-08-02
E-Vetting Letter Received: 2022-08-15
E-Vetting Letter completed and sent: 2022-08-15
E-Vetting email received: 2022-08-22
Approval: 2022-09-27 [ fees paid immediately ]
Date of Ceremony: 2022-12-(05,06) [ waiting for invitation ]

How could it possible? Just curious to pass so fast between eVetting and approval and overall progress

If you git vetted earlier this year because of your job, will you get vetted again?

Yes, you will be vetted again. The premise being that it's always possible that there's something "new" that will show up between the time you were last vetted and the time the Justice Dept wants to do their vetting.
