Entry permission for EU citizen spouses after modification

Hi,

I am an EU citizen and I am going to travel to Ireland next week to work. My wife is Brazilian and we do not have any EU treats right residence card for her - we will apply for it.

Following these recent changes on the entry of Brazilians in Ireland due to covid, I wanted to know if she is allowed to enter the country with me so that she can wait for the EU treats right application in Ireland. Or does she need to wait until the country reopens to be able to join me?

She needs to apply for an Irish visa first. Visa-free regime for citizens of Brazil was cancelled in January. She may be able to travel to Ireland if her visa application is accepted, but with the current development in Brazil, chances are low.
