Hi All

Date of Application: 22 November ‘19
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent: 5 February 2020
Date of Stamp 4 received: -
Date of final approval : 11 March 2020 for 3 years

Wow you have already received the approval for application in November. Do you know why they have given 3 years residency? I thought EU fam was 5 years?

@Lj0123

I thought 5 years too but I am grateful for it. They don’t give me any reason in the approval letter. I applied under my children ( British citizens).

Hi All,
I hope you can give me an advise regarding this :
My husband Applied for Eu1 on 12 December. Sent everything from Dublin but No acknowledgement letter received yet.
Is there someone having same situation. Any advise/suggestion please.
Many thanks
C
Acknowledgment letters are sent very quickly. You shouldn’t need to wait for 3 months. Did you send by registered mail? If yes, send the tracking number to INIS and ask them for an update. If no, send an email anyway, but the chances are that your application is lost and you would have to start a new one.
Thanks for replying. We did all that, hopping to receive an answer soon and i wish the same for everybody who'is still waiting.
I applied in the middle of January. A month later sent an email requesting support from them as my residence permit was expiring on the 14th of February. I received the same automatic response and a couple of days later, received a formal response telling me applications and acknowledgments are taking longer due to the number of applications they had at this moment. They say responses are taking between 8 - 10 weeks instead of the 6 - 8 weeks they give in the explanatory leaflet. I'm in the 9th week right now, so I expect to receive a response soon.

Your situation seems to be weird giving the amount of time you've been waiting for an acknowledgment. The should give you a reasonable answer explaining the delay with your process.

On the INIS website the update as of today says they are currently processing applications received 12th July 2019. Can this be correct? If the EU TR applications are due within 6 months this seems like a loooong delay!
Where do you see this information on the INIS website? Their last update about processing times I can find was in May 2019 and it's talking about 6 weeks for an initial acknowledgement letter.

Our timeline for EUTR1

Date of Application: 18 December 2019 (received according to AnPost tracking
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent: - still waiting
Date of Stamp 4 received: - still waiting
Date of final approval or refusal:
If refused Reason for refusal:

Since then we did send 2 more letters asking for a status. One at the beginning of February and one last week since we're really concerned that the application never arrived or got lost. I don't want to wait for nothing.

Still hoping for the best
Received the acknowledgement letter together with the letter for the temporary permission. Also asking for more utility bills

I sent INIS an email on 2 March and they said my application is there but I still haven’t received anything in the post to date (17 March). I left the country for a few days last week and on my return to the airport on 16 March, the immigration officer said he couldn’t see anything on the system showing I have applied for residency.

In order to get the temporal stamp 4, what do they prompt you to do in the acknowledge letter? Is it necessary to make an appointment online via the Burgh Quay registration office website or you can go to this office just with the letter and additional documentation and have your passport stamped?

Yes, it was for my non-EU wife, she's already in the country on a different visa

Are you in Dublin? If yes probably but not sure. They will tell you on the letter where to go. For us it was our local Garda HQ, we went straight on the same day in the afternoon. You will need to come with both partners, both of you with an ID + (in our case) proof of relationship, we took our Irish marriage certificate.

They asked some basic questions (just checking your details) and updated the file, the only problem was that the same letter gets sent out to them as well and they didn't have it in the system yet. So he actually asked us to come again in a few days to finish everything up. We'll go tomorrow and I'll post an update afterwards. We did call them today to make sure they're open for walk-ups after the Covit19 shutdown.

Good luck everyone, it's all a big mess right now and I heard that INIS is currently shut down as well for virus reasons.

Thanks for the info, and yes I'm living in Dublin, my question was because of the useless online appointment system they have when you need to go to the immigration office, right now the nearest available dates are for May!!

Best of lucks, and thanks for your updates!!

Hi All,

My husband is Eu citizen, I have applied for Eu-stamp4 for 5 years.
Date of Application: 2nd September 2019
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent: 18th October 2019 with requested documents (copies of my passport and my husband's passport too) which were sent on 19th October 2019.
Date of Stamp 4 received: 21/10/2019 until 01/06/2020
Date of final approval : still waiting even though a decision due was 01/03/2020. Guys do you know, if anyone is in the same situation should I be concerned? My HR keeps asking about the visa situation and I have emailed Eu-Treaty and they have been saying that I have a temporary visa until 1st of June and decision has not been made. What is a chance of not getting the visa? This coronavirus and visa situations are giving more stress. Please would you mind giving any thoughts in relation to this issue? Many thanks

Hi adiba169,

I am having the same situation as you, only difference is I applied little bit later than you.
Date of Application: 30th September 2019
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent: 23rd November 2019 with more documents required (My EU partner's most recent tax credit certificate, proof of relationship, proof of address & her travelling history since she reached Ireland) along with tem stamp 4 received from 23/11/2019 to 29/06/2020
Date of final approval: decision supposed to be due on 29/03/2020
Have been really stressful about this as well and having no updates on this is just so frustrating..
The only thing we can do now is wait I guess. Keep us updated if you have any news!

The review is because your EU1A was refused? What was the reason they gave for refusal? Hope you don’t mind me asking.

Thanks 😊

Yeah the refusal was for app EU1A (de facto)
The reason of refusal is that i didnt know that when am feeling the app. I have to send with it proves of our relation , a written statment , i thought that i have to fill app then in enterview i will show them , so they send me a refusal letter that its not a real relation , so i went for a review and explained to them everything ( i applied for review in Augest)
Couple of month later me and my fiance made an interview here in registartion office for marriage and few days they accepted as and we got married ( we got married in Feb) i also send to Eutreaty rights a copy for marriage cert. As an update for my review but nothing new happened as they told me if i wish i can apply for EU1 , so i applied on 5/3/20 but didnt hear from them yet
I heared some cases could take up to 3-5 years and thats makes me stressed because sometimes is depends on luck and an employee

Nope, and I emailed the DOJ and since my temporary visa is until end of June they said they will send out decision before it expired, so I guess there’s more time to wait!

Hi,

May I ask anyone receive the final decision recently? Deadline of my application written in the letter is 10 April 2020 but til now have not heard any from INIS. I emailed them already and got the reply: “since your temporary permission up til 10/07/20 ... a decision on your case will be issue in due course.”

- I applied EU1 form and the office received - 11 Oct 2019

- First letter from INIS to grant temporary stamp 4 and request some docs - 2 Dec 2019. In this letter, it is stated that the decision is due by 10/4/2020

- I got stamp 4 temporary residence card at the Registration office on 5 Feb 2020. Valid til 10 Jul 2020

Clearly it is over 6 months since the date I submitted my application. I wonder if anyone has similar experience. Should I keep waiting until my stamp is expired?

Thanks everyone.

This looks to be the expectation. That you will just have to wait until your stamp expires. It will interesting to see what happens then. Maybe they have re-prioritised at the current time based on temporary permission expiry??
