Hi again,

You've said the following in an earlier post: "I am also in the same situation I have applied 1st of September due date was in March; however, they told me due to covid19 I have to wait until my expiry date which is 1st June"

what is the June 1 expiry date?

Hi Lon999,

Thank you for your response. I got a letter from Eu Treaty on 21th October and on the letter was pointed that my due date for decision is 01/03/2020. They have not offered any other temporary stamp. Now I do not know what we should do.

Thanks
Hi again,

So basically I got 21th October letter to get my card and also on the letter I had to provide copy of my husbands passport and it was mentioned that my decision due date is 1/03/2020. After I went to Immigration office where i have submitted the letter with my passport and I got stamp on 21th October with the card which is expired 1st of June 2020. On the 1st of March when we contacted that due date is expiring we got answer that we have to wait as the process will take 8-9 months. But after lockdown my HR asked me what is the story with my visa we have contacted again and they said that we have to wait until 1st of June and they said it will be ready before that date. However, after 1st of June we got answer we have to wait until end of July also they said it may not be guaranteed due to the crisis. I hope it is clear now.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Ok thanks! So they did stamp and they gave you a temporary card which expired on June 1 and since then you have no stamp and no card and you're supposed to wait until end of July or more.

I think you can try to lodge a complaint with the EU commission. I don't know what the outcome will be but they're violating treaty right where they have to give you an answer within 6 months so there's nothing to lose. You don't have to fill out in English. It can be in any one of the EU languages.

Good luck!

Hi All,

I hope you can give me an advice regarding this :

- My application for EU1A was received on 23 AUG 2018 and got refused on 13 SEP 2018. I applied as a dependent on my brother. Applied through a solicitor.

- Review request was received on 08 OCT 2018 and got refused on 05 DEC 2018

- Made a request to review again. It was received on 16 JULY 2019.

- After that we changed our home address and received a letter asking for evidence of address which we sent afterwards. It was mentioned in the letter that the review is in the queue and the office will contact you in the due course. That was the last update

- My main issue is the time they are taking to give decision. Is it normal for them to take this long ?

- Is it possible/Ok to ask them for an update? If yes then please let me know how I can contact them.

- We have contacted SOLVIT. They take months to reply and was not of any help

I would really appreciate your advice.

well, apparently it's been taking extremely long time to process. but I'm surprised to hear that Solvit took months to reply. They usually respond within days. You can lodge a complaint with the EU commission as posted above. Good luck!

Hey guys

We received our approval today for partner EU1A. So grateful! Decision came via email, original decision date was supposed to be 04/06 if this helps!

Date of application was 03/12/19 (long time ago!) Temporary stamp letter was received
09/12/19. From what I’ve heard from others, the final decision seems to be roughly a month later than the original date.

Lucky that you got your result that soon tho, my decision date has been passed three months and they still haven’t got back to me.. until now all they asked for me to do is wait!

Hi everyone,

I sent an email to INIS and unsurprisingly got the news that they are experiencing delays. In short, in the initial letter from INIS, final decision was supposed to be 10 April 2020. At that time, my IRP expiry date was 10 July. Based on the notice in May on INIS website, my residence permission automatically got extends until 10 Sept.

at this moment, no decision has been made yet. INIS replied to me that I may expect the decision coming before 10 Sept. This means 2 more months of waiting. They also asked me to re-submit some docs in PDF and up to date docs (payslips, HR contacts, utility bills).

ok my question is ... 20 July the registration office reopens and the online renewal registration is available. For people like us who have expired IRP card, got granted 2 months extented permission based on the notice and no result from EU1 application, do we have to do anything?

Hope to have your POV.

You do not need to do anything (and frankly you cannot do anything) until you get your approval letter.
You can of course file a complaint with Solvit if you do not get a response before 10 Sept.

Thanks! You too!

You just need to go to the new website set up for renewals - Inisonline. Complete your details and upload photocopies of your passport, decision letter and IRP. You will get a confirmation email which you need to print off and send with your passport and IRP via post so they can update the card and your stamp. For us it was straight forward, but I have heard of some problems with the website since.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

I am having same problem. Based on the notice on 13 May, my temporary permission is extended to 10 Sept but up to now, no final decision. For your case, I would recommend to email INIS urgently because it will not automatically extend. Either they issue the decision before that date or they need to give some documents to extend your permission. Thats what I plan to do.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to jump on this wagon with the timeline of my application. I just applied for EU1A to be considered a permitted family member of my EU partner. Sent the application via email (because of the COVID-19 pandemic).

Date of Application: 23/07/2020
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent: 24/07/2020
Date of Stamp 4 received: -
Date of final approval or refusal: -

I'm really hoping they will issue me a temporary Stamp 4 so that I may continue working! Really crossing my fingers here.

Hello, congrats, first of all!

I got a temporary visa for a couple months while waiting for EU1, the letter stated the EU partner has to be physically accompanied with me in the office to have the temporary card issued, I wonder can I also use the online system to renew the card?

Thank you.

Hi there! Nothing yet :( they sent me another email on 03/09/2020 asking me to submit by post a hard copy of my application and I sent all documentation on 10/09/2020, including a letter explaning my employment situation to see if that helps speed up the process. My current permission expires on 24/10/2020 so hopefully by then they will issue me with a temporary stamp
