Hey,

Get on the waiting time wagon here.

Date of Application: 18 June 2020
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent: 25 June 2020
Date of final approval or refusal: -9 Dec 2020

PS: I got an email today from Justice Dept. instructing me to send two most recent payslips and informing my application in final stages. Hopefully, it wont take long before i receive final decision.
Hey guys, just come to update my status. So excited that i got my final decision that Stamp4 EU fam would be valid for 5 years. It took even less than 6 months. Cannot believe it. Guess my case is less complicated.

Date of Application: November 2020
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent: December 2020
Date of final approval or refusal: PENDING

The Acknowledgement letter states that I need to go to the Garda station to receive a temp. stamp 4 that is valid until September 2021. Do I just show up unannounced or do I need to schedule an appointment? Also, can I start to work with just the Acknowledgement letter or do I need to wait for the temp. stamp 4 to be issued by the Garda? I already have a PPS number. Apologies if the questions seem simple. Thanks.

Hi everyone. Just sent my application recently. Parent of a minor British citizen here.

Date of Application: 09/09/2020
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent: 05/10/2020 request of 12 income statement and 12 months bank statements
Date of Stamp 4 received: -
Date of final approval or refusal: -
Still no temporary stamp 4. I emailed treaty rights, was told that a letter was issued recently from their office, no idea what letter it is. That was a month ago, no sign of that letter. Asked for an update again, no reply. Been here for 4 months now. Automatic extension is a month to go. :|
Hi there!

From what I know if you’re in a process of applying, you will be fine to be staying in the state anyway. And I think all the valid visa should be automatically extended until January 2021 so I would say you will be okay. It’s just a little bit frustrating with the situation cause without the letter from the department we basically can’t renew our IRP card that’s why :/

It is really a long waiting game.

Hi

Did you hear from them regarding your application. Just waiting is all we can do.

Nothing from my side. Last email that their office sent me mentions that the recent letter from them was the first and last one and they will contact me in due course. Been a month since then and still nothing. I applied September so 4 months on and no proper stamp still.

Is it normal to take more than 6 months to get the final decision. I do understand there is a backlog due to lockdown but how many months is a normal time to receive the final application and should a follow up be done.

Hi there,

I just think there’s a huge backlog at the moment, my final decision supposed to be due in March last year and until now they only told me it’s in final stage 🙃 it’s delayed for almost a year! It really depends on your application tbh, if it’s easier they will approve it soon, but I’ve seen people got the result earlier than me as well, it’s really frustrating like

Same here they say a decision will be made shortly. I was supposed to get it by Nov 2020. But they gave me the extension until feb 2021 with which I could renew my IRP. But how long can we stay in extension it’s a bit stressful tbh.

Hey all,

Regarding the temporary stamp 4: Does the Garda issue a stamp on your passport or do they issue you with a new residence card? If they issue a new residence card, is this card issued the day of your appointment at the Garda station or do they mail it to your address? I am in Cork in case this is relevant. Thanks.

Apparently I asked them about the extension and they said all visa is extended until April 2021, and it shouldn’t have any problem if you renew your IRP, if there’s any problem just contact the EU Treaty department that’s what they told me from email. But yeah I’m tired of waiting it’s been way too long

I am waiting almost for a year. Did you have to follow up with them on the progress.

Yeah I followed up on that a couple of times, like one in December and the other one in early February, but the only answer I got to my emails was we are experiencing delays and an answer will be issued in the coming weeks...

But well finally... applied for the renewal through their INIS online system and will be waiting for my IRP to arrive in the next 5-10 working days.

Hi all,

Just here to give an update for my application.

Application Based On: Non-EU Spouse of an EU Citizen
Applied Date: 30/09/2019
Application received Date: 01/10/2019
Acknowledgement Date: 23/11/2019
Approval: 24/02/2021 (only received it today in mail)

It takes so much longer than expected...
I have to say my case might be more complicated than others so happy that it’s still arriving with good news anyway.

Date of my application sent (by email): 18/09/2020

Date of acknowledgement letter sent by Treaty Division (email): - 18/09/2020

Date of my paper application sent (hard copy by post) : 25/09/2020

Date of my temp. Stamp 4 approval letter received: 12/10/20

Date of final approval or refusal letter (post): 03/03/2021

So, it was approved yesterday! I applied as the non-EU partner of an EU-citizen. It took just under 6 months in total to process, not bad at all!

😁

I have the similar issue. Had applied in Feb 2020. No response as yet. Seems like the wait is getting more and more longer. It’s been over a year. Quiet stressful.

So finally... I just got my approval. So relieved. My timeline as below :

EUTR applied: Feb 2020
Acknowledgement: May 2020
Temp stamp4 : valid till Nov 2020 which got extended until Feb2021
Final Result : 27 May 2021 with 5 years validity.

Can’t tell how relived and happy we are. 😊

Hi all, I have sent off my application end of March, so far I have not received any acknowledgement letter yet, I wrote them an email mid-June and got a reply saying the letter was issued to me dated 30/04/21. Due to I didn’t get anything, about two weeks ago they said the letter had reissued to me again, but I still have not received it yet. Just very confused and concerned. :?
Wondering if anyone has the same/similar situation or any advice please? Many thanks

This seems odd. I recall my letter only taking a few days to arrive. I know this question seems too obvious, but are you absolutely certain they have your correct mailing address?

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I also double checked the address with them, and they said that’s the correct address they have on file. They also mention the letter was sent by registered delivery, I should receive a notice from AnPost, but the same, I have not got anything.

They email letter to applicants. Why can they not email it to you.

That is what they have been doing lately.

That’s a good idea. I just wrote them an email to see if they can send it to me via Email.
