Date of Application: Jan 2020
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent: Mar 2020
Date of Stamp 4 received: Aug 2020
Date of final approval or refusal: Jul 2021
If refused Reason for refusal: n/a

A very long and stressful period. I have now applied for my IRP card (I didn't receive any card with my temporary stamp). Hope this doesn't take very long.

Hard copy send on: 19/07/2021.
Approval Date: 01/09/2021.
Approval letter got to me on: 03/09/2021.
I just put my timeline here. Hopefully, it's helpful to someone.

Hi everyone. Just sent my application recently. Parent of a minor British citizen here.

Date of Application: 09/09/2020
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent:
Date of Stamp 4 received: -
Date of final approval or refusal: -

I don't know what to expect. I got my C-Visa through appeal. Hopefully I don't have to appeal for this application this
time.

Update on my application. Got a 3 years permission granted which was sent on post on the 21st of September 2021. I was never able to set eyes on the permission letter as I got really impatient waiting for it. Now happily living and working in Belfast on a Skilled worker visa which only took like 2 weeks after submission. So don't lose hope to all the others there. It just takes time for some. Best of luck to everybody here.

Has anyones application been approved lately?

Applied Nov 2020
Recieved temp stamp Dec 2020

My temp stamp expired in Dec 2021. I emailed Treaty Rights about a renewal and they said not to worry about it an my application would be reviwed in the coming weeks. It's now nearly 6 months later and with the Covid extension expiring May 31 my stamp will soon be invalid. I emailed Treaty Rights about this about 2 weeks ago and I got the same response as last time, that my application will be reviewed in the coming weeks. Getting really frustrated and not sure what to do at this point. :|

I'm in the same boat and we are almost the same date as well! I'm so frustrated as i dont know what to do either. Do you think there'll be another extension? As I heard processing time now is 9 weeks minimum. :| :?

I'm getting really concerned as well with the covid extension deadline coming up. I can't seem to find any info online about another extension and Treaty Rights never respond to emails

Application Based On: Non-EU Spouse of an EU Citizen
Applied Date: November 2020
Application received Date: December 2020
Temp Stamp 4 received: January 2021
Final Approval for a 5 year Stamp 4: June 2022

To whom it may concern,

Above is my timeline. I finally received approval for the 5 year Stamp 4. In all, it took roughly 20 months to receive the approval. It is great to get this burden lifted off my shoulders.

Thanks for sharing the timeline!
You have mentioned that you received a letter, 2 months after the application, which entitled you to a temporary permission (I am assuming Stamp4?). With that in mind I have 2 questions:

1. For how long was your temporary permission (Stamp4) valid? If it expired before you were granted a 5 year permission, did you get another temporary permission after first temporary permission? If so, how did you go about requesting another temporary permission? Did you have any gaps between first and second temporary permission?

2. You have noted that you received "Final Approval for a 5 year Stamp 4: June 2022". Did you get Stamp4 EUFAM or just Stamp4? If I understand correctly, you should have been given Stamp4 EUFAM since you applied to the EU Treaty Rights Division which works under EU laws and not Irish National Laws.

We submitted EUTR1 on May 27th 2022 (24 days ago)

Thanks!

Our timeline so far is as follows:

I am NON-EU (Ukrainian)

We signed the lease in Dublin remotely (both of our names are on it) - 14/04/2022
My EU citizen wife (Estonian) moved to Ireland - 21/04/2022
Met up with my wife in a 3rd country so that we can board the same flight to Dublin and go through immigration together. When passing immigration - we both went to the NON-EU line (even though she is an EU citizen) and stated that "We want to exercise EU Treaty Rights". An officer asked my wife if she already had a job lined up or if she intended to study. My wife responded that she was going to work but hadn't applied to any jobs just yet. We were then asked to provide our marriage certificate which we did. Our marriage certificate was from a NON-EU/NON-EEA country and had apostille.

I got 2 stamps in my passport:
1st stamp - Dublin Airport IMMIGRATION CONTROL OFFICER 25 APR 2022
2nd stamp - Permission to remain in IRELAND until 25th July 2022 for the purpose of JOIN EU FAM Register at BURGH QUAY - 25/04/2022

Wife started working - 13/05/2022
Wife applied for PPSN - 13/05/2022
Submitted EUTR1 application by registered mail, took a picture of the letter, and shared it with EU Treaty Rights Division via email along with tracking number and a digital version of everything that we had submitted - 27/05/2022

This is the response I got after submitting a digital copy of my application to the EU Treaty Rights email and pointing out that my permission to remain in Ireland expires on 25h of July and that I would need to get a temporary permission to remain (Stamp4) before that:
Dear XXXX XXXX,

Thank you for your email. Applications are processed in strict chronological order.
Due to the volume of applications on hand, it may 6-8 weeks from the date of receipt before a response is issued from this office.

Once your documents have been received and processed, any outstanding documents will be requested.

Please note that the applicant is permitted to reside in the State while application is in process.

Kind regards,

XXXX XXXX XXXX

Received a call from someone at EU Treaty Rights (on a SUNDAY at roughly 4 PM) asking to submit PPSN number, Revenue Registration certificate, and a paystub. I responded that my wife only started to work on 13th of May and that we moved to Ireland on April 25th. I said that we will ask the employer for a digital pay stub and explained the situation that we are waiting for an Irish bank account to be opened and that due to IBAN discrimination my wife couldn't get paid into her Estonian bank account (SWEDBANK) during last pay cycle. Also, noted that we had applied for the PPSN but it will take some time to get it and then to register in the Revenue. I also pointed out that she is currently on emergency tax rate and it would probably be reflected in the pay stub I would submit later that day. He sounded understanding and said "Just send us the paystub as soon as possible and we will issue a decision in the coming days". I said that I will email the Paystub the same evening provided my wife receives it from her employer. I emailed the paystub same day at 10 pm - 05/06/2022

Received response by email that they are waiting on confirmation from my wife's employer and that once that is confirmed, my application would be brought forward for a decision and that the correspondence would be issued in the coming days - 07/06/2022

My wife received 2nd pay stub which I emailed to the EU Treaty Rights division by replying to our previous email thread - 08/06/2022
Received response by email on the same day that "the contents have been noted" - 08/06/2022

Wife asked employer and they said that they got a letter from EU Treaty Rights to which they responded that she works where she stated she works. I sent an email to EU Treaty Rights with this piece of information as well as asking if there was anything else they need from us - 18/06/2022

Received response by email that "the contents have been noted" - 20/06/2022
Wife received PPSN and applied to register with the Revenue - 20/06/2022

Once she registers with the revenue, I will share the PPSN number with EU Treaty Rights Division by email.
That's it for now. Hoping to get the temporary permission soon as it is tough when only 1 person working and the rent is 2000 euros :)

Also, if I am being completely honest the "application would be brought forward for a decision and that the correspondence would be issued in the coming days" part of the email made me feel like the full decision would be issued in the coming days and not the temporary permission. I wonder if that ever happened before or I shouldn't be getting my hopes up? :D

Hi, there.

1. Yes, it was a temporary Stamp 4. It was valid for 9 months. It expired in September 2021. When I emailed EU Treaty Rights to get an extension they just replied that I was covered under the COVID immigration extensions until May 31, 2022, and as such to not worry about needing an extension.

2. Yes, I got a Stamp 4 EUFam. It seems the only difference between Stamp 4 & Stamp 4 EUFam is that the Stamp 4 EUFam provides the holder the additional benefit of not requiring a visa when traveling throughout the EU, however, this isn't an issue for me anyway since Mexicans don't need a Visa to travel to the entire EU for 90 days, anyway.

@Evo1444 - I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if the letter itself contains the dates for which my 5 year stamp 4 is valid? If so, the answer is no. I now have to make an appointment at my local Garda to pick up the Stamp 4.

I meant if you got approval letter on exact date they gave, i suppose to receive my approval letter on June 17th but still haven't got letter yet. Just stressed out.

Has anyone received a temporary stamp lately? My Stamp 1G expires in October and I don’t know what to do if I don’t get temp permissions by then. I have been advised that asking for updates on my application will delay it.

Anyone receive their temp permissions lately? Been trying to find any info on time from submission to confirmation letter. Some people said 4-6 weeks, some others said 6-8 weeks, but someone else said to me the other day (not here) that it’s taking 2-6 months to receive a confirmation and temporary permissions.

HI, I am at similar situation. My immigration agency said it would take 6-8 weeks to receive acknowledgement letter. I guess that would be the longest. Because my agent normally would be more conservative. Then you go to IRP office to get Stamp4 while waiting the application to process. The application may take a further 6 months to process at which point, and assuming that the application is successful, the authorities will provide a letter allowing you to apply for residency permission for up to 5 years.

Hope this will help!

I heard that too which is why I am concerned. But INIS told me I’m in the queue for processing. So I don’t know why it’s taking so long. However, the processing times for my application are up to June on the visa decision website so maybe they have started processing them fast enough to just make a decision right away. The temporary permissions was the way to get around the EU law for making decisions within a certain period of time. Ireland wasn’t doing it so they started giving temp permissions in the meantime.

You are talking about Visa application or IRP card application as a family member of EU National? I know people who applied in May for a visa have not received a decision yet but people who applied in August have got a decision. If they follow the queue system why haven't they processed visa application in June July. Website shows 04/06/22
