Hi

Can you tell me what is the procedure after receiving letter of final approval? Do we have to again take appointment with immigration for the 5 year residence card? or does the residence card come by post? Also is there any other procedure of registering after receiving the final approval.

I am asking because immigration is nowadays giving appointments only after 2 months.

thank you in advance

applied for EUTR1
Date of Application: 30/05/2022
Date of Acknowledgement letter received: 10/06/2022
Date of final approval or refusal: Approved on: 09/01/2023
Do you mind if I ask how long you were given temporary permission to remain? My permission expires at the end of March and I am nervous that I will have a period without a Stamp 4, which isn’t great since I have a job right now and can’t afford to not work.
The initial IRP card was issued on 4th of July 2022 and was valid till February 27th 2023 (did not have to renew it since final approval came before the expiration date)
Hope that helps.
by the way, you can apply to have the temp permission renewed. In fact, I think you have to do it as having no permission to remain could get you into trouble. Contact someone from immigration to get that sorted out. Better safe than sorry.
The letter will give you the exact instructions you will need to follow.
We are outside of Dublin, so had to call our local garda station and ask for an appointment. It was scheduled for a week after we got the letter. Really depends on how busy your office is.

Yes. We had to come back for it 10 days later and collected it at reception.

Update, I have received the approval for my EUTR1A application for a Stamp 4 today (8 February 2023). So that took from July 2022 to Feb 2023 to process.

Hi all good people,

I have recently moved to Ireland to join my EU spouse. My Spouse works and lives in. Dublin

I am in the process of filling the eutr1 form and noticed that we need rent agreement or if living with tenants then their lease agreement etc and a letter from their landlord stating that my EU spouse and me are staying with them. The problem is the the tenants we are staying with have provided us everything from them but the landlord isn't providing letter. He says we can stay with tenants as guest until we find our own Place but the landlord won't provide any letters.

My wife and me have been trying our best to get our own leased place but to no success.

The tenants we are staying at the moment are our family.

I want to know if we provide

*proff of letters (utility bills on my wife name)

*Letters from tenants we are staying with and their leases and RTB letters etc.

*Revenue letters to same address (on. My wife name)

*Bank statement to. Same address (on my wife name)

Would this be enough to prove our current residency to the EUTR DEPARTMENT without the landlord letter? Has anyone gone through anything similar.

P. S, We have every other documents ready.

Thank you so much for reading.

Update, still not received my final decision letter yet. I submitted on Sept 1st 2022, and received the temporary acknowledgement letter in Oct 16th 2022 with permission to stay within state until June 1st 2023. My solicitor emailed the EUTR1 department and received feedback that they will make a decision on my application within the next three months, before the expiry of my current status on 01/06/2023.

I thought it will take 6 months before the final decision made for EUTR1. Clearly it took longer now... :?

Don’t think it’s taken 6 months for some time now. From application submission to final letter, it was 9 months for me, and they took until the very end of September to acknowledge my application from July.

My IRP card application has been processed and approved, so now I am just waiting for it in the mail. All in all, it took from July to end of March/April for my app to be processed and get my card.

Hi

My husband’s timeline

Submission 22/02/2023
Acknowledgement + further info requested 14/03
Temporary permission, not received.
Decision date according to letter will be 5/9/2023
Final approval: pending

Does everyone gets a temporary permission? He hasn’t received any, what to do?

Not everyone gets temporary permissions, and I may be incorrect but I believe it’s based on whether they get enough information from you. You could write to them and request more information but I was under the impression that the letter they send should detail why you didn’t receive temporary permissions.

Hi
No it’s not mentioned in the letter about the temporary permission. They requested additional utility bills.

If they are asking for more, then you need to send that. They may then issue the temporary permissions but they won’t do it until you send them the additional documents I don’t think.

I received my card in the mail, an Article 50 TEU (wasn’t sure what I’d get tbh). Valid for 5 years. A relief!

Hi all,

Just wanted to share my spouse and daughter's EUTR1 application processing timelines below:

Date of Application: 28/09/2022
Date of Acknowledgement letter sent: 12/11/2022 (Received 25/11/2022 requesting additional documents & giving temporary permission to reside)
Date of Temporary Stamp 4 received: 11/01/2023 (IRP collected on 27/01/2023)
Date of final approval or refusal: 15/02/2023 (Received 04/04/2023)

FYI Temporary stamp 4 permission was given from 25/11/2022 till 27/06/2023, however, there were delays at our local Garda office in receiving a copy of their letter from the Department of Justice, which is why we received the temporary stamp 4 and IRP in January 2023.

For us it took about 6 months from the submission date to receiving the final decision.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Forgot to add, the decision due date according to the acknowledgement letter was 20/03/2023 but evidently it was made earlier than that in our case (15/02/2023 as per the approval letter).

Thanks!

The Department of Justice requested the following documents as evidence of residence of UK national in the State prior to the end of the transition period for both the applications:

- Letter from landlord/agency or tenancy agreement
- Letters of Registration of Tenancy from the Residential Tenancies Board
- Utility bills for the UK national

And additionally for my daughter's application (as she is a minor) they requested Doctor's letter confirming residence.

Thanks for this timeline. Congrats! I submitted my application on Sept 2nd, 2022. I haven't received my final decision letter yet. I emailed EUTR1 office today to ask the status...

Thank you, weiyiqiu.

Hopefully you'll receive yours soon, as well - hang in there.

Funny thing, I emailed EUTR division on 12/12/2022 with a query relating to the temporary stamp 4 letter and they responded to it on 30/03/2023, so they do take a while in responding in my experience. However, when our solicitor wrote to them requesting an update they responded within 2 weeks to the solicitor.

Wow - that was quick response but sadly just a generic one. Not sure if it helps but the response we received (months later) was from our case worker and wasn't a generic response.
