FBR and timing of child's birth

Post by Dave565656 » Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:05 pm

Hello all - welcome your advice

I have Irish citizenship via Foreign Births Registry (my grandparents born in Ireland, my father and I born in US). I have a current Irish passport.

I want to get citizenship for my son, who was born in the US 4 months AFTER I was entered into FBR. I had submitted my FBR application before he was born.

Technically the documents say the child must be born AFTER my citizenship was granted.

Does anyone have knowledge of leniency on the dates given this situation? Thank you!
