Michael, how did you get the tracking number for your certificate? Was this provided via email by the DFA? Haven't seen this before, hope it happens for my certificate sometime soon although some have mentioned here that certificates to UK get sent in standard post.

Anyone else got updates on their FBR application ?

I’m nearly at 8 months (applied early Nov 18).

Any Sept/Oct 2018 applicants getting approval yet???
I applied early September 2018 via London, 'sent for final approval' email in December 2018, obviously meant nothing. Recent calls for updates have said it is indeed now actually really at the approval stage with a manager and is imminent. Hoping for mid-end July for the certificate to reach me if no email to say approved in the meantime!

Unfortunately that would make it one of the worst times of year to apply for a passport in any country, in the summer peak. I intend to use the passport express via Liverpool or Glasgow to cut some of the time off.

It seems as they are randomly processing Aug applications.
I keep watching and waiting, especially since Micahel123 got his email. Nothing yet for me, mine was received by FBR confirmed by email on Aug 23, 2018.

Based on past experiences, certified email from Dublin arrives in the USA the day after it is mailed and generally takes 4-9 days for US postal to deliver. Would love to see it before the 4th of July as it is a holiday and my mothers bday.
My birthday is this coming weekend, I get it Michael, I am so excited for you!! I am so hoping I get notification of citizenship by then!!

I have the US postal service app called “informed delivery” it notifies me of all incoming mail (with pictures) and tracking for all incoming packages.

Thank you everyone!

I spoke to my cousin Liam ( UPLaim), his package was delivered the day after mine, he has yet to receive any news as well.

My and my cousin Donnas applications delivered Aug 21 in the same package and cousin Liams on Aug 22.

My FBR (and assume Donnas) has cleared US customs and is sitting in New York.

That's fantastic Michael. If it arrives tomorrow (actually today in my time zone) that will be record time for recent deliveries outside the UK / Ireland. They still use other methods to send things to China and these are much slower than the one used to get mail to you in the US. You should be into the passport phase by the start of next week.

As for me, it's once more time to move on. My month in Thailand has been very relaxing. Now I will proceed to Malaysia for the rest of the summer.

Just got another text alert on my phone, the package is on the move again to my local post office. Will definitely be delivered tomorrow!

I understand completely. It's frustrating when others who applied at around the same time (or even later) are receiving confirmations or certificates and you are still in limbo. I felt similar when Sean and Spav were on the brink of receiving their passports and I was still without my FBR certificate. Michael has been waiting for a very long time too. You both have. I can only hope that you hear something in the next couple of weeks. At least the postage situation seems to be very well handled back to the United States.

Fortunately, the Irish post is very prompt, The USPS: not so much. I have a friend at the USPS who provided an absentee door label giving permission to leave package without signature in the event of Monday delivery, I was also prepared to stay home from work to sign.. either way. I got lucky having it delivered on my day off.

Perhaps it was a simple matter that my package was thicker with 2 applications and the other applications that were stacked on top of it were causing the pile to fall over and mine was processed to stop a landslide or avalanche?

As I type, I am at a local pub celebrating! Bed spins tonight my friends!

Michael123, kindly repost the attachment and make sure ALL names, addresses and Irish FBR official details are fully blacked out and redacted completely. I could clearly make out your full name and address and you had not redacted the Irish officials name either.
