Get together to discuss suing DOJ

Post by Static » Tue Jun 19, 2007 8:45 pm

I believe that a number of us would seriously concider getting together and suing as we are mostly not able to afford it individually. So... I propose a get together and offer a venue :) I am happy to have it at our house this Saturday or if it's too much of a short notice, how about next week Saturday? We are about 40 minutes out of Dublin on the 25A bus and I am donating the coffee/tea/biscuits to the affair. Who is interested.. and which day would suit??

Suing sounds like a very reasonable idea given the information in this forum. My wife and I haven't yet received a rejection, but we wouldnt mind seeing you people. This or next saturday are both fine.

Might be helpful to contact the Immigrant Council and ask what the options are for suing. At the very least, they'll have a list of immigration lawyers and maybe know how much it may cost and how long it'll take.

Regardless of whether you want to sue or not.. we are at least getting together with other people in the same boat. (and we get to rant all we like!)

Hi I would love to make it to the meeting but have to look after the baby while the missus goes to work.
Please keep me up to date about what you all decide and count me in with any legal proceedings -even though I havent been rejected yet but my heart goes out to all of you who have been rejected so far. At least ther was some solice in the fact that the U.S senate rejected Bush's immigration policy, meaning that all illegal irish in america will have to still wait before any chance of legalising themselves.
