Extremely unlikely to get a refusal. I am in the same situation with a parent who is Irish through FBR but unable to apply myself. I applied after four years of residency and my application is pending now.

Even if it does take three years for the application to be processed citizenship by associations is stronger than normal naturalisation and a normal applicant is looking at 6.0-6.5 years now anyway by the time they get their hands on a passport.
