Hi,

It seems the procedure is different for the applicants applying from Northern Ireland. It is 14 days now since I have posted my application and have not received any acknowledgement or reference number from Citizenship and naturalisation department. On inis website, it is mentioned that acknowledgement and reference number arrives within a week. Is it different for a baby born in Northern Ireland? Any experience or idea? Thanks.

Regards,

I doubt it. Don't worry it is usually a month before it comes out. Just remember, an Irish 14 days is normally something like a month. If you have nothing by 1 months write out to them

@ rajumr
Hi, I have applied for "Certificate Of Naturalization" for my new born child in Belfast, NorthernIreland. I have sent all the required document. But somewhere I have read about application fee of 175 Euro. I am not sure whether we have to pay application fee if yes, there is no information about to whom should we pay the fees to & by check/draft or cash. I am waiting to hear from Irish Embassy on my application & still not knowing about the Application Fees.
Neither Embassy has called me yet in last 15 days for Missing Application Fee.
