Job promotion on GEP

Hope you're all doing well.

I'm wondering if anyone knows what happens/what needs to be done with a job promotion while on a GEP? As in a job promotion within the same company on the employment permit. Would I need to apply for a new visa? I can't find any info online.

If the majority of your job role/responsibility remains the same (e.g. from a software developer to a tech lead), you don't need to do anything.

If your role changes (e.g. from a software developer to a software salesperson), you will need to reach out to DBEI to confirm whether you need to apply for a new permit.
