My reference changed their phone number. Irish Naturalisation Application

Hi all,

So I have applied for my Irish citizenship in January 2022 but in the meantime one of my references (1 out of 3) changed their phone number. Is there a way for me to contact the office dealing with naturalisation applications to notify them of this change?

Maybe you could send them an email to let them know but tbh I haven't heard of anybody who had their references receiving calls

They do contact references from time to time. Usually they just pick one out of three that you provided. A few years ago it’s not uncommon for references to be contacted.

Since the Brexit saga and Covid started, they have too large a backlog, so it seems they don’t contact references as often as they used to, but that’s certainly not saying they have stopped that altogether.
