Try TD first. If you dont get a response send an email to the minister

No luck today for me.... Still waiting for Dec 19, 1pm ceremony. The fact that you can't know where you are in the process it's extremely frustrating. Let's see if I'm lucky next week, otherwise I might contact my local TD to check about status

The TD is going to get the same response from the minister as mine did, which I posted in this thread. So that means you will likely not get an answer to your specific certificate query. However, the added public pressure is always a good thing, so I say do it.

It’s completely unacceptable they are making people wait several months for a single (very important) document to arrive.

worst of all nobody can make sense of the order which they issue these documents. The frustration doubles when you see somebody from a later ceremony report that they received it. Department owe us an explanation for that. This adds to the frustration.

Thank you! I sent them the email about two weeks ago and got the same generic auto reply. I 'll try the TD, hope something positive comes back. Alternatively I 'll ask a solicitor.

My daughter and I were at the same 1500 ceremony 19th, she was in front of me in the queue. I received my cert yesterday and she is still waiting. My cert was issued 18th and received 29th. My best guess is they are all issued but there’s one poor sod in a back office who can only post so many a day so it’s pot luck where you are in the pile. My daughter is at risk of being deported from Holland if she doesn’t get her passport soon, I’ve mailed my tds who got the standard bull response and the minister of justice whose office thanked me for my email and acknowledged its receipt! They must be near the end soon!

Makes sense but it doesnt explain why there are people from 1pm or morning sessions who havent received their certs yet. By the way this is the message i received from the department 3 days ago

"We anticipate to have them issued in the next 2-3weeks."

I attended the 1 PM ceremony on the 19th of December. On Saturday the 2nd of March, I received an email from citizenship helpdesk asking me to send an abbreviation for my name so that they can issue my certificate! (my name in my original passport is too long and this has caused me problems before). I replied to the mail immediately after receiving it. I wonder how long it’ll be for me given that, until Saturday, the certificate wasn’t issued.

Just to add some additional detail; the official letter accompanying the naturalisation certificate (which also has the certificate number) was dated 11 February and everything was posted yesterday (4 March).

Congrats! I remember you because we applied around the same time. I attended the same ceremony but I'm still waiting for my certificate. Hopefully I will get it soon, this is frustrating....

Thank you! I attended the 26 February ceremony, so hopefully my certificate is not too many weeks behind this one!

This process is entirely too long and I can't see how they can justify it taking well over two months to post these out to everyone.
