Slainte,

Check this out.

3.2.have held a student type permission since then or held a minimum of 2 years
registered student permission including
 Trainee Accountants - Stamp 1A
 Graduate Stamp 1G
 Temporary Stamp 1 (without the need for an employment permit).
Please note this refers to permissions granted by INIS for temporary
periods to certain persons who, at that time, held a student type
permission.
This does not include persons who held an employment permit and an
immigration permission under Stamp 1 conditions.
 Student – Stamp 2
 Student – Stamp 2A

Thanks a lot RZee I hope it happens soon,I even wonder if they really have my application cause they have never asked for anything.I emailed this morning asking if it does show in their system   still waiting..I only know of one person (Iffi7) in this forum who is in the same situation like mine..
Wonder if we did something wrong during submission or we are just at the bottom of the line.

It's nearly 9 month but i haven't heard from them at all. God knows when this will end. But hope good days are ahead. Keep faith guys. Good luck

Not sure about @Brianah case, but Buddy, your case is the cause of concern at this now.

As INIS are saying there are dealing all applications in Chronological order starting from year 2005, you came in 2006, you should have got your answer around December/January as per my Information and news that I gathered they are now looking at applications for the years 2009 and 2010.

One of my friend who arrived in 2006 applied on 26th October and he got his decision in Early January. My second friend who arrived in 2009 got his decision 2 weeks ago.

You should contact them.

Depends on what did you arrive in Ireland. Can you give us more details:

a) When arrived in Ireland
b) Changed your stamp ever? if yes, to what stamp.

I have arrived in 2008 and no, i have not changed to any other stamp. My stamp2 expired in 2015.

And also you said INIS is processing the applications in "chronological order", which i doubt, doesn't mean from 2005 to 2010 but the day INIS received the application.

But again i don't think INIS is following any order.

@RnSa you are right they are not following any order , me and my friend arrived together in 2008 applied for the scheme together never changed our status his letter came with in 7 weeks and I was waiting for 9 months exactly 9 months I applied on 24th oct and got my letter on 24th of july.
anyway keep good faith ,you all will get the positive decision.
they refused few applications only for change of status like some people change there status to work permit or stamp4 ( other then student permission).
I already got my passport stamped and my IRP.
its taking long but you all will get it
wish all of you good luck , keep faith , patience

RnSa same here i applied on 20th november and on may they asked me for additional documents and i submitted everything and now its showing submitted again since may. And they are not following chronological order for sure coz some of my friends who arrived after me and who have applied for the scheme after got their decission. And what i think is people who have filed a case for change of status through solicitors are getting their application sorted first. I hope all our application will be sorted soon. :(

RZee do you know if the text of the stamp we got for 4S is identical to the stamp people get with Stamp 4?

Anyone knows how long they take to process refund in case your application is unsuccessful? My application status changed on 17th and I got a letter in July on 19th on my old address and was sent back and then they emailed me to ask for new address and still no letter here and no refund in my account either. How to know the status of my application?

Well answer to ur question I dont know in case application is unsuccessful BUT when paying for my application
in November an error happened,700 was taken twice,I emailed them immediately and the next 5 months after,I got the refund in April after 6 months.
Just out of curiosity, how do you know ur application is unsuccessful if you have not received ur letter? Please read past/previous comments in here there are people who their online portal showed complete but did not receive letters for days,I think some contacted their nearest immigration officers for follow up,please check their comments it might work for you.

Hi you won't know the status of your application untill u get the letter from them. For refund purpose they will send u an email with a PDF form attached. You must fill up the form and email them at "Finance INIS@justice.ie" to get the refund. Basically u have to provide your bank details to get the refund. Thx

Hi all,

So i arrived in Ireland in 2006, applied for the scheme on the 19th of January 2019.

I received a notification on Friday asking for extra documentation and proofs. (1. Evidence of continuous residency in the State in 2014 and 2015, 2. Further evidence you will not become a burden on the State: p60s, payslips, and bank statements)
I was on stamp 2 all this time, until they changed my stamp to stamp1 when i went to renew my student visa this March (i am a phd student).

I will try my best to submit these documents asap. good luck to everyone here.
