Hi All,

This message for those who got decisions already. Once your application status changes to Completed.
1. How long it takes to get the letter in letter Box?
2. Do you need to sign for the letter?
3. Anyone else can receive this letter?

Thanks.
1) U will get a docket to collect the register post from post office (normally 2-3 days once it's completed) or else u may get in hand by the postman depending where u leave house or apt.
2) yes u have to
3) no it has to be the person who's name is on the letter...no one even collect the letter from the depot . They will refuse straight away even if u sign the docket and send someone else to collect it for u.
Hope u will find it helpful. Thx
Thank you, sir. I checked on Anpost website that you can nominate someone to collect it for you if you missed it. See this
What happens if I miss a delivery?
You have a number of options available if you miss a delivery:
Collect your item by bringing your ‘sorry we missed you notice’ (also called a Docket In Box or DIB notice) and personal identification, such as a driver’s licence, to your local Delivery Service Unit
Nominate an agent to collect the item on your behalf. You (the addressee) must sign the ‘sorry we missed you’ notice and the agent must have this and their own identification in order to collect the item
Arrange redelivery of the item online to the same or an alternative address. Redeliveries take approximately two working days
If you believe that your item should have been delivered, but you have not received a DIB, then it is most likely that your item is still in transit

Has this happened to you or someone you know?

Thanks.
You cant nominate an agent on this occasion. this is from my personal experience. In 2018 I got separate dockets for me and my wife from DOJ. I went to depot to collect the post they gave me my one but refused me to give the wife"s letter even though I had her photo ID and sign on the docket. when I asked why? they replied that this letter is from Immigration so the person must come to collect it, no exception.

Yes that problem was solved. It was a technical issue. They emailed me when the problem was rectified. And they sent me a letter as well about this technical issue and told me they were working on it

Hi Ajay409

Did you send them an email regarding the issue with the portal? Mine is showing 'submitted' since almost a month and no email or decision yet.

What should be done?

Anyone?

they replied that this letter is from Immigration so the person must come to collect it, no exception.
The only exception is that when the letter has an explicit mark saying "recipient only" or "do not redirect". If there is no such word on your letter, it is simply the post office worker that wants to make your life hard by imposing some rules made up by himself.
I do see such remarks in certain high value packages (e.g. if you buy a jewellery online, it is likely that it must be delivered to the person at the said address without any kind of redirection or collecting by anyone else), but I have never seen such remarks on any INIS correspondences. Having said that, I don't know what it says on the stamp 4s letter.

Hi there.

I would like to answer the third question. I have signed and received the letter for some one as the postman was at the door and i said to him that he is my friend though i went to visit him in the morning and woke him up as he was sleeping and gave good news to him. So any one living in the same house or apartment can receive. But if you missed and got the docket then you can authorised some one.

Hope it will answer the question.

I sent them few emails and a hand written letter with screen shots of my online portal problem. And it took 10 days to solve it. They sent me an apologise email for this technical problem and sent me letter as well that my problem is solved. If you have portal problem then send them screen shots. It will help you to solve out the problem. But it will take few days to get back to you hear from them.

I did not notice such kind of explicit mark on the docket so all I have explained here is what I had experienced in the past and it was not only me but on of my friends also had the same experience!! I noticed when I gave them the docket they went inside to bring my wife's letter and then they said my wife has to come in person to collect the letter so I believe may be there was some kind of explicit mark on that letter that's why they didn't hand over it to me rather he wanted the person to be present to collect the letter. Anyway it was in 2018 and that was different kind of permission so it may not be applicable any more this time in regards to the stamp 4S permission, who knows!!

Hi ajay or anyone else,

Firstly, I got a decision letter and it is positive.

Do you need to take these documents to Office? Is it must or Not?
1. Proof of Address: Utility Bill/Tenancy agreement
2. Proof Of Residence: Tax return or state Document/s
3. Passport submitted and the Previous Passport

Can someone please reply, would really appreciate it. Share your experiences Please.

Thanks.

They ask for permission letter, your new passport and old GNIB/IRP card (if you dont have old GNIB/IRP card tell them you dont have),
better to keep your old passport and proof of address with you.
and most important your bank card :D

You can’t leave and you have to stay at your address that letter was posted to.

Just kidding mate, of course you can leave, for reasonable period. I think 60 days maximum per year or something like that
