Next ceremony 21st may 2018 killarney

To those who have received the invite to the ceremony. Is it a RSVP? Do you have to reply to it? I'm scared I'm going to miss it. I won't be home for a week ...

It seems to says that you only have to reply/email them if you can't go.

The exact wording is: ATTENDING A CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY IS MANDATORY. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO DO SO, PLEASE NOTIFY US VIA EMAIL AT: CITIZENSHIPINFO@JUSTICE.IE. NOTE: NON-CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE WILL RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT DELAY IN SCHEDULING YOU FOR A FUTURE CEREMONY.

This seems a bit contradictory though. I plan to drop them a message to confirm my partners attendance anyway (because of the part after NOTE above).

You could email them and ask if they've sent the letter or not.

Why not just email them on the address above? They'll tell you.

I did but no response as of now. How long before the ceremony do they stop sending invitation . Any ideas

Your documents have been received and you are being considered for
attendance the upcoming May Citizenship Ceremony. Please be advised that
invitations are currently issuing.

from what i found on this forum there is a person who get invitation 7 days before last ceremony

So there is play plenty time i think

@Bobu & Napster when did you guys write ?

Its seems they are quite busy i wrote last Thursday still no response (usually its 2-3 days)

so i had to post my updated visa page by anpost to be sure they get it

Anyway in regards to ceremony there plenty time lets say until next week and then 7-6 day before ceremony they will publish the list of attendance which also helpful if you letter is still in transit

I send in mail in query on Monday and got reply on Tuesday afternoon.

i guess they didnt respond to mine because i was already informed by letter that i am scheduled for the next ceremony and just need my updated visa to send invitation letter. It is then very likely they responded to my e-mail by sending my invitation which i should hopefully get this week...

naah, it will come when it comes; hopefully sooner than later. I see on the 2018 thread there is already a person with invitation to the ceremony on 21st.

Hi guys, i got my approval on April 17th. I e mailed them on Tuesday and they replied to me that they have received my documents, but "this office is now Fully subscribed. We will be in touch with you in the due course".

My friend got approval around February and she received the invitation today to attend on May 21st.

I believe i have no choice but to wait for the next one, hopefully it ll be due in a few months...

I was also approved on April 17, and have not gotten the invitation

Hopefully we wont have to wait very long until the next ceremony. Although, they did say to me that my application has not moved forward on the day of the approval . I'm hoping that they gave me the wrong info this time too

I got INV letter dated 2nd may for 2 PM ceremony

My friend is scheduled for 14:35. Does that mean you're done and dusted in 30 minutes?

The letter says it is a registration time, not the actual ceremony start time. It also says 'including registration the event will take approximately 1 hour 45 minutes'.

Being in this process for almost one and half years now and reading all the issues faced by multiple users on this board. I am not surprised that this is not going as planned (at least for me ). It's strange when you know there can only be "X" number of people who can be accommodated at the ceremony venue but you still give "X+N" number of approvals. I will have to wait for the next ceremony and hopefully then there will some good news . Wishing everyone who got an invite to this ceremony very best of luck . Cheers guys

i wouldn't complain you got approval that many people wish to have at least and this year for sure you will be irish. I can see from you timeline you were one of the last wave of approval.

@Bobu if you get invitation for this ceremony , you buy dog and call him Broli
