I was told in immigration office that you don't have to update your GNIB and pay 300eur. They will put stamp to your passport and that's it

Last week they said that I will get update via post next week. No letter yet. So I rang twice today, First Lady told me that my application is in the final process and I should not worry. The second time the lady on other phone line took my phone number and said they will ring me...is it usual to happen like this and had it happened to anyone? What does it mean? Seniors can you help please. My worry is that I am planning to travel for one week from 11/10 to 19/10. Should I book flights and in the mean time if they ask for GNIB could I be able to enter into country without GNIB?

Hi office

I was told on the phone that I will hear of them in 2 weeks , my approval arrived next day in post.

I would say keep in eyes on post you will get approval.

I would avoid the traveling, also they says in approval letter that GNIB will no longer for traveling etc.

I read someone comments in other threat can travel with approval letter , it's highlighted that this letter will not allow entering to estate.

Good luck
Regards Grace

Are you Northern Ireland based? I have been waiting for Irish resident ones to sing about their invites. Northern Irish based approvals (like me) would expect their invites tomorrow or Monday based on postal delivery times

Still waiting invitation . I am based In Dublin no sign of letter yet . Got approval 6 th sept . Sent 950 plus photos on the 7 sept . Have not heard back anything yet . Had sent it by registered post which was received the next morning in Tipperary . Should I ring them on Tuesday to confirm if they received everything as it’s been over a month and a half now ?? Or just wait it out ?

I'm still waiting on mine too. I am based in Dublin. I was approved on August 10th and submitted my 950.00 euro. I sent them a mail today just asking if there is a way to find out if I will get a letter. I will post if they reply. With the bank holiday on Monday we won't get any letters now until Tuesday
