Shockingzeus121 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 9:37 amI received a letter last week from citizenship department to send 2018 P60, employments details summary for 2019 and asked me to complete the attached statutory declaration, and have it witnessed and return to the office within 28 days but there was nothing attached. I have emailed them last week to let them know but haven't got any reply yet. Shall I just send the P60 and employments details summary and write a letter to them to let them know I never received any declaration form?
Hi, where did you read this?citizenfour wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 7:30 pmThe first batch of affidavits will be likely be sent and requested to be completed in January 2021
At what stage of your application process are you? Are you just waiting for the Ceremony? Have you already paid the final 950 Euro fee?zeus121 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 9:37 amI received a letter last week from citizenship department to send 2018 P60, employments details summary for 2019 and asked me to complete the attached statutory declaration, and have it witnessed and return to the office within 28 days but there was nothing attached. So why are you posting in this thread called "Next ceremony"?

COVID-19 has unfortunately prevented the holding of our large scale citizenship ceremonies which is impacting the processing of applications. As a solution on an interim basis for applicants whose applications are approved, Minister McEntee was pleased to recently approve the priority drafting of a Statutory Instrument, whereby naturalisation certificates may issue on receipt of a statutory declaration. In this way, we hope to alleviate the delays currently impacting those seeking to start their new lives as Irish citizens.
Please continue to check our website for further announcements and updates here. It remains our intention that large scale ceremonies will recommence once circumstances allow.
My interpretation of their latest announcement (the one you quoted) is that they are working on creating a tool (a form, a declaration, who knows) which will be sent to everybody awaiting for the ceremony. This tool will replace the ceremony. Nobody knows for sure what will be. By what they have said so far, I m expecting it will be a form sent to your home address which you'll have to sign and return to them. I don't work with the Department and all this is an interpretation of the latest announcement from the Department of Justice.OldBawn wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 12:50 pmiamok wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 10:36 amUpdate on website: https://www.irishimmigration.ie/applica ... -ceremony/

The Minister for Justice made it clear yesterday: "It is intended that the regulations will be finalised early in 2021"
