Under EU law, direct family member can travel with EU citizen. Please do some research.
Yes, IF they have an EUTR visa, or an Article 10 card. Otherwise, not.
Yes u can, you hv a apply for EU1 form within three months. please discuss with any lawyer. Your mother is direct family member.
I happen to have a friend who works in one of the largest law firm here. I haven’t heard of a SINGLE lawyer that would support your ridiculous argument.

As UK245 said, you might be able to prove dependency as a spouse, although that is still risky. A mother cannot prove that at the border. Check any EU country embassy’s website and see their rules.

Hi omi007

Are you proceeding with your move to Ireland with your parent or dropped the idea? I am thinking about the same and knowing your experience will be very helpful.

Thanks,

Hi vijar,

I have dropped this idea, due to various issues:
* No guaranty about the visa approval
* Difficult to travel to India from the UK, due to restrictions and risk of getting my parent infected.
* Even after travelling, don't think Ireland embassy may process these visa applications (as they might be working in limited capacity).

I would still consider this idea, if situation becomes better.

Happy to help, for any information you need.
It would be nice to know your situation.

Thanks.

Hi Samhita,

I don't think you can 6 month each in both the countries. Please review the below:

https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/russia ... ish%20visa.

Can I travel to Ireland on a UK Visa?

There is a Short-stay Visa Waiver Programme in place for nationals of a number of Countries including Belarus, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. If you have entered the UK on foot of a UK “C” General visa and have been granted leave to remain in the UK for 180 days, you may travel to Ireland within the time remaining on the UK visa, up to a maximum of 90 days (whichever is the shorter), without the need to apply for an Irish visa.

I am actually looking for Post covid situation like in end of 2021 or beginning of 2022.
Like i have UK passport my Mom is having Indian passport ,since after brexit uk nationals can stay and work freely without visa in ROI as CTA agreement, so thinking if my Mom can stay 6 months in Ireland with type D visa and 6 months in UK with family visa .There is a stamp 0 visa for dependent parents but for that I have to move to Ireland which eventually I may do .Has anyone have any information please send links .

HI Samhita,

Sorry for my delayed response on this - I wasn't aware of your post.

This is really interesting, and I would like to check this, if this is possible. Your situation looks very similar to my situation. Honestly, I was thinking about moving to Ireland, if they allow 6 months stay, and rest 6 months in the UK (both on visitor visa) for my mom. However I didn't know about Stamp 0 visa (Many thanks for mentioning it). Therefore I thought I might need to use visitor visa's for long time. When I checked about visitor visas in Ireland, few days ago, I came to know, they allow maximum 90 days stay on visitor visas. Therefore I didn't proceed with it. However if Stamp 0 visa allows my mom, to stay with us for long time, I would definitely be interested to try it. Have you got enough information about Stamp 0 visa (I am still looking at it)? Does it have better chances of success? We need to be 100% sure, that Stamp 0 visa will be successful, as we need to move to Ireland, do job there for 3 years with good salary, before we process this visa.

I am also checking about Canada PR, which allows parents to stay for 2 years continuous on visitor visa called Super visa. But I would prefer Ireland option, if Stamp 0 is useful and doable.

Many thanks again for letting me know about Stamp 0 visa, and would like to hear more from you on this.

Regards.

I got few solicitors ,now stamp 0 rule is bit changed for British who wish to bring their dependent parents .
There is no need you have to work there 3 years but you have to show suitable income plus saving .Go through this link.

http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/jo ... in-ireland

I have contact few solicitors but no one is confident as this is so new rule.
