Proof of Residence - are these sufficient?

Post by d3ntist » Sat Sep 16, 2023 5:32 pm

I'll be submitting a citizenship application form very soon, and I noticed that the scoring system for proofs has changed since the last time I checked in April.

For Residency Type B:
1. Is car insurance considered a "Utility bill"? Can it be included under that section or any other?
2. How do I use "Rent Agreement" for more than one year? I've been renting the same place since 2014. Do I just include each copy of my Rent Agreement in every year?
3. Are HAP statement letters (issued every 3 months) considered "bills" in any way, shape or form?
4. Can I use an electricity bill that has a different address from where I was actually living at the time (still in ROI though)?

I would greatly appreciate any answers.

Your HAP statement - at least one per year and matching your address- should be perfectly fine for Type B if you don’t have yearly RTB letters. Car insurance isn’t a utility. An electric bill that doesn’t match your claimed residence is unlikely to be accepted.
