#Rumour alert :upcoming ceremony Oct 1/2 @ RDS Dublin?

seen this post at FB. upcoming ceremony in RDS Dublin on Oct 1/2?

not sure if this is true? any idea folks?

They certainly could do that - Minister mentioned ceremony in autumn. Hopefully they will.

October is a long way away so we'll find out around September.

Been checking multiple times a day everywhere for a hint of when the autumn ceremony would be. Hopefully this rumor is true and we don't have long to wait to find out the date.

I have received email from citizenship which says they ll be holding on few ceremonies this year and about vetting they said it would take many months .I am sure many of others have had received this email.

Yea, I don't think many of 2023 applicants are getting their certs in October - there's just too many people waiting from years before (myself is waiting since '21).

@meself we are in same boat .I am not 2023 applicant . hopefully once disclosure is viewed they ll send approval in few weeks.
It is just the pace and uncertainty that surrounded this whole process is extremely cruel.
2 or 3 years we do not know where we are going or what ll happen

Well, I've heard from a reliable source that the ceremonies are moving back to Dublin, and that the one in December will definitely be held in the Convention Centre. I'd rather just go to the one in Dublin than drive to the one in Killarney Convention Centre.

As for 2023 applicants, a few of them have already paid the fees and their fees have been processed, so it is unclear whether they will be excluded from this ceremony; however, I have a feeling that the upcoming ceremonies will be dominated by 21/22 applicants, including myself. People who have already been through the NVB and the people who are still going through it should be invited to the ceremony.

In the Convention Centre? Interesting, I expected them to be in RDS. We'll see; I suppose it's better for most people to have it in Dublin.

I would assume priority would be given to 2021/2 applicants; 2023 folks might be brought in as well, but I think back in May not everyone who got approved actually was invited, so depends on ISD.

They often speed up the approvals around the ceremony date, amount a month or so before next ceremony, so they have tim to process money and send invitiations.

Yes, even if it is RDS, it is good that people in Dublin can get to the venue more quickly. I hope they expedite the procedure, as next month will mark 18 months for me, and since the median timeframe is 19 months, I and others should be included in the next ceremony.

I have stated this before and will not do so again, but it is unfair to include 2023 applicants so soon. I am happy for them, but they must first clear the backlog. fingers crossed!!! I hope they would do something similar to what we have all been contemplating.

Folks, 1 October is a Sunday, so this rumour must be false!

Eeeek - I hope not as I have to be in Germany over those dates. But I'm probably too recent to get into that ceremony anyway ...

it looks like there is an event planned in october @ RDS. I called the RDS customer care team . They did confirm the event but they didnt reveal the date as they expect the justice department to send the invite.

not sure why people at RDS gave a different view. apologies. anyhow , it is now confirmed that the next ceremony is on 02nd oct at Dublin(CCD).

On https://www.irishimmigration.ie/how-to- ... eremonies/ it says "Please do not contact us regarding ceremony invitations as we are not in a position to confirm invitations. You will receive an invitation to your ceremony by post before it is scheduled to occur.

The next ceremony is taking place on the 2nd October 2023 at the Convention Centre Dublin (CCD)."

So are we going to get an invitation by post or email? I thought we were going to get emails with the invites and asking us to confirm attendance.
